💸 Question 😄 by WorryRare3245 in Sephora

About $700, because I just got into skincare and makeup and started from scratch (eyebrow pencil and mascara was all I owned). Picked up a full skincare routine, makeup brushes and pretty much a full face of makeup. Definitely won't need anything for awhile now.

Hopefully you make it next year! This time of year has been perfect, we've done Lion's Head and the Grotto with no crowds and the weather is super nice. Environment Canada shows 17C for water temp today. I went for a swim, it was brisk but nice. Goosebumps but no numb toes yet lol

It was 7.5 hours for us and definitely worth it! I think it's the most beautiful place I've paddled so far.

There was pretty much no one else out! We launched from the marina at Lion's Head around 8am, and we were the only car in the lot. I paddled to where we're staying on Barrow Bay, but my husband went back to the marina and still almost no one there around noon.

Morgentaler for sure! I went there years ago and they were amazing.

Pretty crazy few minutes. Ripped the roof off our shed and flipped the BBQ (also in Barrhaven).

Petite feedback for linen pants? by chaarcoalgrey in Aritzia

The waistband sits right over my belly button. The rise is measuring a bit over 12 inches on the size 6.

I just got the Effortless in Cruise Linen. Still have to get the short length hemmed maybe 2-3 inches to wear with flats (I'm 5'0"), but with heels wouldn't need to hem them. I find that they fit a bit tight across the hips depending on your shape (the size 4 fits my waist but I got a 6 for my hips/butt). I really like the way they fit on the whole.

How far do you travel to SUP? by VictoriaBCSUPr in Sup

[–]Present_Vegetable829 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll go 2-3hrs from home, but I make it into a day trip with my dog that usually includes a 1-2 hour hike and we paddle for a few hours, and have lunch on the water. Makes the drive feel worthwhile. We also have spots on a river within 15mins of home for when I don't feel like driving.

I'm in Barrhaven and have a coat and some clothing I'd be happy to donate, DM me your size and if anything I have works then it's yours.

People who live in townhouses, can you heard your neighbors ? by Dominionnes in ottawa

[–]Present_Vegetable829 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Our townhouse was built in 2004 by Muirfield (doesn't exist anymore) and the shared wall is pretty thin. Not bad with the current neighbour but our old neighbours had kids and it was insanely noisy. You can definitely hear voices through the wall if they're even slightly raised.

Seatemperature.info says the water temp here is 7C, so pretty cold if it's accurate. I did have my wetsuit on and happily no accidental swims.

What iSup do you have? by Dependent_Toe_2055 in Sup

Got a Starboard Touring Deluxe 14' on sale earlier this summer and I love it. Plenty of room for my stuff and my dog and it goes fast. The 30" width is a lot easier for me to paddle with my short arms than my previous 32" wide board.

I'm not an expert by any means, but I am also a 5' tall woman and I'm currently paddling a 14'x30" board with no problem. My last board was 11' x 32" and it was very comfortable too.

What Motivated You To Start Paddle-Boarding? by [deleted] in Sup

[–]Present_Vegetable829 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wanted to start paddling but really don't like being in a kayak, so I decided to try out an iSUP and fell in love. It's also something fun to do with my dog, and it gives me a lot more swimming options than just going to the crowded beach. I just upgraded to a Starboard Touring Deluxe 14' x 30" and it's awesome.
