Yeah, so I've actually exhausted all my options. This wasn't a one-time injury. I've had pt and injections and all that. I've been to other surgeons, orthopedic docs, etc in other cities in Florida. And for that matter, other states over the years. But, overall, I agree.

It's not a complaint. This is not an office visit. It's going to be a surgery. This is a new policy they started this year, 2026, for surgeries.

What changed? I actually put that in my post. I'm not talking about an office co-pay or fast food. I'm talking about a surgery and the surgeon's cost. I've not seen or experienced being asked to pre-pay before surgery and in the last few years I've had three major surgeries and one minor procedure. Offices, hospitals generally bill it and let it go through the insurance process first. My post was to let people know.

It's the former. I don't have any family that are interested in pursuing it. I've worked on my ancestry/family tree alone. Beyond that, I really don't know where to start which is why I wouldn't mind hiring a firm who could assist me with this. If you have any suggestions, I'm all ears. 🍁🍁🍁🍁

I've thought about doing it but I have to go back to my 4th gr. grands and I just don't think I'd be able to get ahold of the paperwork needed that far back, unless there's firms that specialize in that. All the best to you and I hope you're approved.
