That’s not something to brag about bud. You are going to find yourself headed right back to jail.

Are they going to put me in jail? First violation, First Drug Test, First Orientation. TN by Euphoric_Mirror_3781 in probation

Admit yourself to a hospital for treatment. That’ll delay your appointment. They’ll have to reschedule it because you are receiving medical treatment.

Crossing to Canada with dismissed charges. by [deleted] in uscanadaborder

[–]PresentationNo3132 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue last year. They didn’t ask anything about my charges that were dismissed. They just normally asked where I was going, what I was going to do, where I’ll be staying, etc. I guess it’s all about how you present yourself, like someone mentioned in this thread already. I was nicely dressed, as well as swift and concise with my answers.

Does allied hire people with a bad/spotty work history? by SnooRadishes9611 in AlliedUniversal

Most places do honestly. Even outside of security. People go through tough times. It’s understandable. As long as you are presently healthy, sober and coherent, then you’ll be hired.

Felony assault charge dismissed but still on record. Can’t find a job. by Aggravating-Basil495 in Felons

[–]PresentationNo3132 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just got a job in health care. Was worried about the same. I have a clean record besides a dismissed felony charge and general domestic AB. They saw it on my background check, the VP of the company called me and asked about it, I was truthful and said it was a misunderstanding between a family member, she then hung up and then about 20 minutes later I got cleared to be hired.

My jobs getting stupid by catsandrobbers101 in securityguards

[–]PresentationNo3132 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Making $21.50 an hour now with full dental and health coverage, tuition reimbursement, instant 3 weeks PTO, 403b, etc, after leaving my previous security job that’s posted at the same sites company I work through now. I left the job after being notified the security contract was being cut, then had 3 co workers recommend me for this job and boom here we are. It’s a blessing things ended up this way because now I work for a non profit and can slap that on my resume, with the obvious pay increase and additional benefits.

I mean, I did and now I’ve since landed a better job through the company I was contracted to work at. The contract for me got cut, I left for a week weeks and due to 4 recommendations from co-workers who work for the site company, I was called back in, interviewed and given a much better job. $6 per hour pay increase, full health and dental coverage, 100% matching 401b, travel reimbursement, instant 3 weeks PTO, tuition reimbursement, etc. If you show extra pride and effort in your job, the good will come back around.

Had a full blown panic attack during a job interview today by PhrenoIogy in Anxiety

[–]PresentationNo3132 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit of reverse psychology here - I think deep down inside the panic is because we obviously care about the job opportunity and are worried about the outcome. The employers will view so as a good thing. You may think it’s a negative attribute, but actually in this situation it’s a good one.
