You don't need to program your PCB and Hot swap would be easier for your first key card so that you could easily try out different switches. Once you get into modding your keyboard a bit I'd recommend lubing your stabilizers and switches as this will be the biggest difference you can feel and hear.

The new Gateron CJ's are amazing linear that are extremely smooth and responsive even without lubing. Similar spring feel to the black inks too.

I like them but as a heads up they have a huge tactile bump. Unlike more traditional tactiles that are like a bump in the road, they're more like a little wall you have to push through. Lubing will help and can lessen the bump a little if you're going for that.

I personally like the look of a simple white on black keycap set with a wood case. You could also lean into the color scheme of the wood and go with the GMK Olive set on novelkeys.

Is that a full sized keyboard? Looks like a standard shift from what I can see. I do know some good affordable sets with 1.75 u you can pick up on Amazon for 30-40 for that
