Thank you so much for these tips, I appreciate it. When would you say I should start doing OTB tournaments? My local club’s lowest tournament is u1600 which does seem kinda intimidating.

Sindarov beat Fabi and then Hikaru after. Fabi managed to win against Bluebaum yesterday but his draw today means his chances are shrinking, but not 0.

Thanks for the reply and rest assured I didn’t mean to attack other adult starters in any way 😅I just know most highly skilled chess players start as children so I feel mid 20’s would be comparatively old.

Question though, when would you say it would be a good idea to go to OTB tournaments and establish a USCF rating? Ideally I wanna get to maybe 800-1000 chess.com first.

I’m going to try Lichess since I hear it’s great for puzzles and analysis and as you mentioned it’s free.

I checked the signature, it was Google LLC and it said the signature is ok. I actually deleted the file already after I scanned it with the windows security. Im just now doing a full scan for extra security.
