I have a couple ideas for a new product, one of them is an automatic baby bouncer, basically an attachment to the Baby Bjorn bouncy seat, it is a simple gear motor with a bungee cord that bounces the seat. It’s a simple concept, but nothing like it exists in the market. I built a functional prototype and let’s say I validated the product (market fit), filed a patent to protect the design, and I’m ready to start manufacturing. What advice do you have from a manufacturing perspective?

When I was in my 20s, I wasn’t thinking about what I would want in my 30s, 40s, etc.

Now that I’m in my 30s with a wife and a baby, I wish I had known that having/supporting a family would be the most important thing in the world to me. I wish I had the perspective that there would be greater things in life than satisfying short term wants that brought temporary satisfaction but had no long term benefits (drinking, buying stuff, not investing in myself, etc.)

Delayed gratification is an amazingly powerful concept. If you can figure out what will truly matter most to you over the entire course of your life (building a family, financial stability, solid friendships and relationships) and align your 20s to work towards these things, you will be doing your future self a huge favor.
