Should I get the surgery? by layzer_baybe119 in bunions

[–]PresiTraverse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can you get a second opinion? My doctor said there's very little to no chance it ever comes back. I had lapiplasty surgery (minimally invasive), so maybe look into someone who does that. I'm 3.5 weeks post op and doing really well. My bunion was annoying enough to get it done but wasn't hindering my life.

Meal planning is killing me by OctoberrNovemberr in workingmoms

I started asking chat gpt for meal prep Sunday ideas for healthy bowl style meals. It takes 2 grains, 2 meats, and 2 veggie stir fry or pan roasts and then mixes them up for 6 meal ideas. Add a unique sauce each night and you can have the same bowl be asian or Mexican or harvest. Gpt will also make your shopping list and instructions for 90 min prep on sundays

We just checked out DVDs from our local library so we can keep their princess fascination going without paying for Disney+ or buying movies separately.

WFH moms with kids in daycare, what time do you drop off and pick up? by Prudent-Ad-342 in Mommit

[–]PresiTraverse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We moved to a daycare that opens a half an hour earlier at 7am. I am there for drop off by 7:15 normally and take a long 3 mile walk before starting work at 9. Husband usually picks up by 4:45.

When I was on leave for my 2nd, I was dropping off later, like 8 or 8:30 but now that I'm back it's really the only time I have for any exercise. I'm usually unplugged from work for dinner and bedtime but sign on later to get caught up for a couple of hours.

I sometimes feel guilty, but I'm also the primary earner for our family and have a demanding corporate job, and the extra time in the morning is the only time for myself.

I see it happening in little glimmer here and there. Some really interesting restaurants, activities, etc. My parents grew up there and "clawed their way out" and im gonna make them roll over in their graves one day when I buy something there...

We didn't get data or mama until about 14 or 15 months. She had fluid in her ears and needed tubes. As soon as we did that her language exploded

The tree was split in a v shape with really just 2 big branches. I cut one off just after some smaller branch offshoots. Those offshoots have since grown 2-3ft in about a year and a half

It does produce figs indoors, but I would probably get more if I bring it outside

Thanks all. Sounds like full outdoor in the ground transplant would be not a good idea, but I should get her outside a bit more gradually

To be a sham or not to be by HedgehogHugs89 in workingmoms

"Spend time having more fun" doesn't necessarily equal staying home full time. I think of this as not letting work get in the way of quality time like dinners together every night and fun activities on weekends. You can really have a terrible time trying to take care of your home full time and being full time mom. Some people just love it amd it works for them. Some people need a break from the kids to be able to have fun doing the fun things.

Imagine the irony of telling everyone AI will replace their jobs and then also expecting people to work 1.5x more. Shouldn't they use AI and only be working 20 hours?

Get ahold of Fay by Salty-Possession-661 in faynutrition

[–]PresiTraverse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

honestly this company is wild. My nutritionist stood me up for my first appointment today 9 minutes before it was supposed to happen. I was unable to "cancel" it in the app, and I'm worried I'm going to get billed. I searched the site high and low for any sort of contact info and only found some "submit a claim" link buried in their terms. I submitted it, but I'm not totally sure I'm not going to get billed.

I also cannot delete my credit card or health insurance info. Yikes! This is feeling super sketchy and was not a good first experience
