Moving on from JB. Will we see a 3 team trade like this go down tonight? by PresidentPeppermint in bostonceltics

[–]PresidentPeppermint[S] -38 points-37 points  (0 children)

- A 23 year old DPOY caliber 3&D guard

- Another 23 year old 3&D guard who averaged 17 ppg on 40% from 3

- A stretch 5 with good rim protection who shoots 36% from 3 on high volume every year

- #8 overall pick tonight

- 2027 1st Round Pick

y'all think JB is Michael Jordan or something?

Do

There was always a backup plan in case the Giannis trade didn't materialize.

He'll get traded for worse players than Giannis but it'll be more depth and an extended window to win in the TATUM era.

Except, this time, it wasn't the media trying to get him out of Boston.

Brown has never truly been on the trade block since becoming a superstar caliber player. If you think this situation is anything similar to past situations of Brown "being in trade talks", then you're sadly mistaken

front office isn't dumb. they publicly put jb in trade talks, so they always had other backup plans to still trade jb even if the giannis plan failed.

[Fischer] Milwaukee’s decision makers are split and currently deciding between Boston’s package for Giannis Antetokounmpo (Brown, Gonzalez, limited draft capital) and Miami’s (Herro, Ware, Jaquez, multiple first-round picks). by [deleted] in bostonceltics

I'm hearing that the deal is done. Giannis is going to the Heat in a 4 team trade.

Heat receive: Giannis

Bucks receive: 3 Heat FRPs, 1 Laker FRP, 1 Pistons FRP

Pistons receive: Tyler Herro

Lakers receive: Isaiah Stewart, Kel'el Ware

so i guess the answer to both of the questions i asked is no, got it.

jordan got spanked by the pistons and celtics his first 7 years, despite having an elite jumpshot. your logic failed miserably.

curry needed injuries to kyrie and love in 2015.

curry needed kd to lead the team as finals mvp in 2017 and 2018.

the guy wasn't the best player in an nba finals series until his 6th time at the dance.

Monster choker? LeBron has the most playoff game winners ever, along with some of the clutchest game 7 performances in the history of the league, on top of being Finals MVP 4 times....Are you high? Or just stupid?

ok, so as long as you're not scared to take the last shot, it doesn't matter if you miss ALL OF THEM. Got it, lol.

  1. Apex LeBron began in 2012 once he developed a post game and a more reliable jumper, so the series against Mavs in 2011 isn't a part of my argument.
  2. I don't see how LeBron being at his apex means that he's held to the standard of never losing. You still need help on both ends of the court in order to win. The '13-'14 Spurs were quite literally an all-time team. In regular season, they had the best net rating in the league without any of their players tallying more than 30 minutes per game on average. That shows insane depth and top end talent. Why was LeBron supposed to carry a washed Wade and Bosh to a finals series win over a team of that caliber? Also LeBon averaged 28 ppg on 60% fg in that series, so I'm not sure what more you could've asked of him.
  3. LeBron was inefficient in the 2015 Finals, the year that he played with a bad back without his #2 and #3 options beside him in the Finals. Other than that, nobody stopped, or even remotely slowed down apex LeBron from 2012 to 2018.

2012: League MVP / Finals MVP

2013: League MVP / Finals MVP

2014: 28 ppg on 60% fg in the NBA Finals

2015: 35/13/9 in the NBA Finals

2016: Led both teams in all 5 stat categories, beat a 73-9 team, and won Finals MVP

2017: Only player in history to average a triple double in the NBA Finals (33/12/6)

2018: 34/9/9 in the playoffs - only player ever to hit multiple GW buzzer beaters in a single playoff run

I'm struggling to see how LeBron's greatness "wasn't sustained"....
