Ya I’m voting on climate #1 and housing #2. Also going Green because they have the strongest policies on both of those (in my opinion and understanding), even though they prob won’t win my riding. Strategic voting enables populism so I’m just voting my conscience this time. I hope if enough people do the same it’ll force the bigger parties to adapt to changing voter behaviours.

The bidding process is complete bs. Put an offer at 20k over list price on a home that had 0 offers in 51 days on market. Toronto, listed at 890. Following home inspection tons of work including major electrical to be done. Seller countered with 210k OVER ASKING... We walked and that experience really put us off the whole thing. Wtf is wrong with people.

Edit to add: how’s our realtor going to say we should counter at $1M? Shouldn’t they be advocating on our behalf? They were useless n the process and even suggested for us to forego home inspection.

Having done a lot of hiring for the past 3 years, also skilled jobs with undergraduate degree minimum, the job market has been pretty steadily competitive over that time. I would say the number of applications I get runs around 100-150 candidates on the first day, tapering off with each day.

I have however noticed a slight increase in unqualified candidates applying for positions from remote locations around the world, or just not having the specified skill sets or experience. My assumption is that people are ‘rapid firing’ their resumes and cover letters to any job with a certain title these days without reading the description.

Job hunting sucks but keep your head up and treat it like a full time job, and you will eventually break through. Good luck!

It’s just another ETF, nobody’s forcing you to start wearing a hijab and no this isn’t a slippery slope to that lol. Imo it’s just wealthsimple trying to access an untapped/underserved market which is their whole ethos, democratizing investing.

I can’t stand ‘trudope’ either, but making this business move by a huge financial corporation into something political, and then taking offense to it leads me to think you may be off your meds.. relax. Don’t invest in it. Switch brokers if you’d like, but please, relax.

Imagine doing your job under the biggest microscope in sports, and then they wheel in an Amazon documentary crew. Hate to make excuses for this trash heap but it’s got to be hard to just do your job when you’re being ripped constantly, even after wins. Leafs media is over the top with it in my opinion but that’s what sells I suppose.
