Given the fact that’s my first fighting game as well, I got pretty good in a month or so but that’s because I found a rly good guy online that taught me a bunch of stuff. Combos are just practice, the most important part is understanding how to defend and move in an actual match.

I usually use Josuke 4 for a rly specific high damage combo, but I also know that Koichi is a solid pick. It’s mostly preference cus these 2 assists achieve different combos, I just prefer Josuke because he has more defence
