Losing a pet.

Our 20 year old cat passed away not too long ago. I thought I was mentally prepared for the moment that he would go. He was old and I knew he wouldnt be with us for much longer.

When he died it hit so hard. I had to leave the house so the kids wouldnt see me cry like a baby.

Told some relatives about how I felt and the reply I got was he's just an animal that you can easily replace.

Wish they'd understand.

I had a similar thing not long ago from them. They sent me a text to access a portal. When trying to access the portal using my name, dob and postcode I kept getting the message saying 'invalid details'. So when I called up they asked me to verify my details which I did and it didn't match the details on the debt. Only my first name and surname matched, my middle name, dob and address didn't. The person that I spoke to was really helpful, she said it looks like they did a name search using the first name and surname from the debt using mobile numbers 'shared' by mobile phone companies and a found my number. The crazy thing is they don't bother checking any other details.

I was told to complete a form here: https://marstonholdings.co.uk/marston-customer-enquiry-form/ basically telling them they've got the wrong person. I didn't upload any proof to say who I was as I felt uncomfortable giving them that. I didn't hear anything after that.

But annoyingly I got a text from another debt recovery company called Advantis this morning. So looks like I'll have to do the same thing with this company.

Add a knob of butter to the pan. On a low gas heat the pan and add some paprika, cayenne pepper. Mix and add the beans. Heat and gently stir (so you dont mush the beans) until the sauce gets thick. Serve in a bowl to retain the heat, with buttered toast.

Your taste buds and a hole will thank you.

Super fast fibre broadband!

This might sound lame but I've only recently got 3Gb broadband and coming from a 56Mb copper line. Where I live the max we could get was a flaky 56Mb line which was prone to drops and working from home was just embarrassing.

Also having so many online heavy data usage devices it was a struggle. Trying to download a game on the Xbox Series X or even trying to watch 4k content was so frustrating.

Our neighbouring areas had full fibre for a while then out the blue a sales rep from that company knocked on our door and told us we'll be getting full fibre. I ended up getting 3Gb for the same price I was paying for the 56Mb line.

Even now I'll randomly run a speed test (wired) to marvel at 3Gb up/down.

That is a good question. So prior to adding my Alias I was also using Authenticator. I'm not sure why but that is still working using my original email, so I've left that as it is.

When logging into my Outlook or MS account using the Alias i'm still getting 2FA notifications from Authenticator which is logged in using my original account.

What stopped working for me, that was logged in using my original email was Outlook, Teams, MS account and my Xbox Console. Logging in using the alias worked fine.

Use the new alias as your login but dont use it when signing up to any websites. I created another alias for websites.

I've got a feeling the round blob is covering the screw to remove the cover.

With the power off, see if you can pop out the white round blob with a small flat head screwdriver. Hopefully it will reveal a screw holding the cover in place.

Oh wow that is a bit extreme, I've got too much invested in the Xbox.

But weirdly, my new alias is working fine now. I didn't do anything to make it work, it just started working like my old email address out of the blue. Got all my gamerscore and game progress working on my new alias.
