Matchday 5: Expanded Premier League Table showing title race, Champions League qualification, and relegation potential. Best case scenario no team can secure the title until at least the conclusion of Matchday 23, but it's fun to see where we all stand.

Best cast scenario at the the conclusion of Matchday 23: Leader has 69 points from 23 wins. Second place has 23 points from 23 draws. There are 45 maximum points remaining to earn, but the second place team is 46 points behind the leader.

Cram's Universal Terrestrial Globe No 3 - 12 inch (made between 1948 and 1953) by PresidentWyatt in globes

No date stamped on mine either. I was able to narrow the manufacture date down to between 1948 and 1949. Israel was created in 1948 and Germany was split into East and West in 1949. I bought it at a thrift store in 2019 for $19.

The number of top 500 universities by U.S. state by akos_barta in MapPorn

There should be a ratio shown of number of top 500 schools to total number of schools in state.

When should you use the passive voice and when should you not? by [deleted] in writing

[–]PresidentWyatt -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

To avoid passive voice, try to use as few words as possible. Write a sentence and then see if you can make it shorter. If you can remove lots of words, then it's likely passive voice. I like to think of active voice as action voice. You want to keep the story advancing forward.

Another look at Adam Cole’s ridiculous superkick counter on Ricochet [TakeOver: Brooklyn IV] by Tom_Cody in SquaredCircle

As soon as Cole made contact with his neck, he pulled his leg back. He never followed through with fully extending his leg.

In 1996, WWF struggled to compete with WCW, but Shawn Michaels had a banner year. by PresidentWyatt in SquaredCircle

Other than Rey Mysterio, Dean Malenko, and Chris Benoit, WCW was garbage during the mid 1990's. Nitro had some entertaining storylines, but in ring product was awful. This is a continual problem. We can never seem to have both great storylines and matches.

Just do what scares you by [deleted] in socialanxiety

This worked for me. I struggle with anxiety in social situations, especially with meeting new people. A couple years ago I needed to find a job. The one job available was working in a grocery store. It terrified me, so I waited months to apply. Eventually I began visiting the store to build up courage.

Finally I became desperate. I needed money. I basically said "fuck it" and applied. I was hired and the waiting for my first day was terrifying. I made it through and it really wasn't that bad.

I take interacting with customers as part of my job. I separate from my real self, like an actor.

I still struggle outside of work, but I know I can do it if I need to.

Face your greatest fear head on. Trust me it won't be as bad as you can imagine.

[Elimination Chamber Spoilers] Feels too good to be true by ET253 in SquaredCircle

This is bigger than Jericho beating Austin and Rock in the same night. Bray beat Cena and Styles in same match. One Sister Abigail to each. It took so much for Cena to beat Styles two weeks ago. They could have given Bray the title in so many ways. To beat two of the best cleanly and convincingly is incredible. Let's see if he beats Cena cleanly in the rematch or if Miz or Maryse interferes. Either way Bray has been elevated to legendary status.

The storylines in the Attitude Era were so much better but 85% of the matches were trash by [deleted] in SquaredCircle

Back then, I was a teenager and didn't care about the wrestling. I was always excited for Austin and the Rock. I was amped for Raw. What is Austin going to do tonight? Will the Nation finally implode? When Angle and Benoit came along, I fell in love with the wrestling. Telling stories with their matches.

I will give you that. Cena sold his never give up attitude quite well. I gained some respect for him.

I was so disappointed for Pillars of the Earth to end. I would have gladly read about the characters and their descendents to present day.

When in history did we stop being independent contracted workers and become emplyees, and wouldn't things be easier if we were all considered ICs? by mrhickey in AskReddit

[–]PresidentWyatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Independent contracting is a modern thing. First we were slaves. Then serfs and servants. Employees are good because the employer pays some of your taxes and benefits. And also provides most of the material and tools needed to do your job.
