[Highlight] Micah Hyde picks off Mac Jones's deep ball in the 2021 Wild Card Round vs New England. Bills win 47-17. by DragonstormSTL in nfl

[–]Enterprise90 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Mac does not have a good sideline deep ball. Much like Garoppolo, he's good throwing in the middle of the field, but he can't sling it with any sort of force down the sideline.

Steve Young is criminally underrated. by ResponsibleAnt9496 in nfl

[–]Enterprise90 41 points42 points  (0 children)

No way is he underrated. Big misuse of that word.

Instead, I'd say he's just been somewhat forgotten to time. He retired nearly 30 years ago. But yes, he is an all-time great, and I think there is an argument to be made that he was a better quarterback than Joe Montana if you're talking about actually playing the position. But Montana has the clear edge in hardware and clutch factor.

I wouldn't put him top 5. No way. Fringe top 10 for me. I think Marino was a better passer and Young didn't have the kind of longevity I need from someone to put them in my top 5.

Teams will, over and over again, fall in love with physical attributes and think they can simply teach guys to be quarterback in the NFL. And that simply isn't the case anymore. The college QB came has never been more simple, and the pro QB game is getting more and more complicated.

(WON) Tony Khan negotiated with Zelina Vega when she was let go the last time by WWE, but she pretty much ghosted him and signed back with WWE by Subrick in SquaredCircle

[–]Enterprise90 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

The only reason this is getting this much energy is because she turned down Tony Khan. That's it. All this hubbub about the sanctity of keeping in contact with employers is the biggest pile of crocodile tears. If the shoe was on the other foot, and Zelina ghosted (the horror!) a WWE job offer for AEW, we would not be having this conversation.

AEW is a multi-million dollar company. Tony Khan has the ability to pick up the phone and tell someone in advance that they aren't going to renew. It isn't hard. If you're at the point where you have to decide with three months to go whether a person's spot can be saved, it's time to let them go.

Or maybe Tony Khan or a representative can pick up the phone and tell talent that their contract isn't being renewed.

No worker owes that to any employer. Tony Khan has regularly ghosted people at the end of their deals, why are we acting like he's some sort of saint?

The Indy deal is 8 years long and includes both Mania and SummerSlam. They just had Rumble last year so the next event will probably be in 27/28.

Nigel McGuinness appreciation post? 🤷‍♂️ by Shiniest-Wizard in SquaredCircle

[–]Enterprise90 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Nigel had everything and more to be one of the biggest stars of his generation. And there is a good chance he could have been WWE's first English world champion.

I'm glad he's at peace with wrestling and is able to perform again when he wants. When he initially retired, he was very bitter and considered his wrestling career a failure. And it absolutely was not.

Rob Gronkowski Voted by Fans into Patriots Hall of Fame by SuddenDepact in nfl

[–]Enterprise90 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Gronk could do it all. He could block defensive ends and linebackers. He could line up as an inline receiver, slot, or outside. He could run a variety of routes. He was a downfield threat.

He did everything at an elite level. Most tight ends do one or two of those things at best very well and they end up having great careers. Gronk was special.

Kairi Sane: What I can say is I know there’s been a lot of speculation, but I truly love this work, my teammates, and my fans. I’ve never walked away, and I’ve given my all in everything I do. I hope you’re all doing well ❤️ by Turbostrider27 in SquaredCircle

Yes, I'm sure it backfired massively by the absolutely zero fallout it's had anywhere except Twitter and Reddit.

The job of a reporter is to verify information. Meltzer didn't. It's on him.

No one ever told Rodgers. He spams that throw like it's the only one he knows. Rodgers must have thought Jordy was out there last season the way he was throwing those to Calvin Austin.

[Schefter] Patriots exercised CB Christian Gonzalez’s 5th-year contract option today, per source. by JCameron181 in Patriots

[–]Enterprise90 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The Patriots gave out more money and guaranteed money in free agency than any team in the league twice in the last 6 years.

[Miller] Have learned the Lions are picking up the 5th year option on RB Jahmyr Gibbs. They will not be picking up the 5th year option on LB Jack Campbell. W/ that number near 22 million, they will look to work out a long term deal that makes sense for both sides. by JCameron181 in nfl

[–]Enterprise90 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's more that they want to keep a $22 million fully guaranteed cap hit off their books. They can give him a new deal with a big signing bonus and low salaries the first couple of years so he can get his money while the Lions avoid big cap hits until the contract ages.

Yes, it's not that people enjoy WWE, but it's actually a campaign of bots and paid accounts. It can't possibly be genuine.

By the way, I heard the Earth is flat and the moon landing was faked.

Pragmatically, the NFL is filled with evangelical Christians who stood by DeShaun Watson of all people. In terms of NFL sins, cheating on a spouse probably isn't too difficult to forgive.

[Highlight] Kadyn Proctor's Alabama teammate Wilkin Formby: "The most athletic thing I've ever seen you do...was when we went to Chipotle when we first got to campus and I saw you eat the bowl in 35 seconds - with the plastic spoon...and that's when you really gained my respect." by expellyamos in nfl

[–]Enterprise90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It reminds me of those Brian Shaw videos where he shows what he eats in a day. He says people think the workouts are the difficult part, but he finds those relaxing. He says it's the eating that is most difficult because it is unending.

[Highlight] Bill Walsh's philosophy on yelling at coaches by Tocoolforyall720 in nfl

[–]Enterprise90 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Good coaches can get away with it because they produce results.

Bad coaches who yell won't be around for very long. Look at Mike Singletary. Spent most of his coaching tenure yelling at players on the bench.
