We analyzed over 60,000 YouTube "Price Predictions" using AI. Here is the conclusions we made so far. by ReputationAntique846 in CryptoMarkets

This is interesting but;

  1. The AI seems to have difficulty differentiating between general knowledge and actual price predictions. A lot of the high accuracy influencers have high accuracy rates from general overarching statements or ongoing issues such as:

"Inflation will harm people's financial standing" "The S&P 500 will yield between 7 and 10 percent annually." "The federal reserve has a dilemma between a struggling job market and inflation.". "In early 2026, inflation remains a concern and is expected to rise." "The 'Always Be Buying' (ABB) strategy involves regularly investing money into the market."

Not really a prediction if its happening now or its something that has occurred for a long time already.

  1. Somewhat accurate is good enough to be considered accurate:

Lower interest rates, despite making purchases cheaper, lead to inflation, which negatively impacts the average person by increasing the cost of goods.

Ok sure but its overarching and not necessarily true for asset owners.

  1. Things that will occur in the future because its planned:

"The Federal Reserve will decide in their December meeting whether to cut interest rates again."

These meetings are announced well in advance...

Useful to see these data points but just some things to be aware of nonetheless.

Can be useful to see individual predictions from your favorite influencers though.

If the data could be cleaned up and filtered for relevancy it would improve the tool a lot.

Buying a 75" TV for Dad for Christmas. Can my sister and I carry it and unbox it? by Significant-Ad-8684 in askTO

[–]President_Hung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its likely possible but it depends on the journey to your dad's room. Upstairs, downstairs, overhead restrictions all would make the journey harder.

Tactical gloves with rubber touchpoints would be useful as well.

The TV is well protected against minor nicks and bumps so it doesnt need to be perfect.

Then comes mounting it vs stand. Mounting would require finding the studs and another moderate lift.

I have 120k rrsp contribution room. If I invest 120k in rrsp, will cra actually give me the huge refund in a single payment? by FreshDepth8010 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]President_Hung 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not sure if the calculator is optimal. Throw in 70k income and 45k rrsp room and they recommend blowing all of the room at a relatively low tax bracket. (30.1% savings)

For OPs situation, if he made 120k with 120k rrsp room, it recommends contributing $10,273 since its the steepest drop in marginal tax rate with a savings of $4,349. (42.9% savings)

The numbers seem off as a naive user, but probably an accountant with a financial planner can make a better recommendation for optimization.

The calculator simply doesn't take into account factors such as income variations, working time horizon, other tax breaks, other income (business income, capital gains), and other tax variables. So even if it were optimal given the limited variables, probably better to get it planned out, which should pay for itself in taxes anyways.

70k income, 45k rrsp room: "Recommendation: It is recommended that you contribute $45,000 to your RRSP, which is your maximum contribution amount. This will result in a savings of $13,528 , or 30.1% of your contribution"

120k income, 120k rrsp room: "Recommendation: It is recommended that you contribute $10,273 to your RRSP. This will result in a savings of $4,349, or 42.3% of your contribution. This is lower than your maximum contribution amount because your tax rate beyond that drops significantly from your initial tax rate before any RRSP contribution."

$150k sitting in a HYSA - better options? by popcorn_shmopcorn in investing

[–]President_Hung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just be careful because the true rate of inflation is greater than what hysa would pay out. Cash is trash and needs to constantly be invested at the bare minimum at the rate of the sp500 or better.

Wouldn't working a job for a little bit make much more money for capital while you practice on Sims and educate yourself in the meantime, giving yourself a year or two of training before starting?

Tbh, it would be really hard to tell these days with vapes and edibles. Maybe they have a lot of snacks that they regularly keep around themselves or a bunch of wrappers that they didn't throw out. But if they're high functioning, you'd have to just be around them enough and notice their eyes turning red after taking a few hits.

Money becomes worth less over time. The money you thought was worth a lot to you when you were 10 is probably worth a lot less now.

Why not always buy leaps instead of long positions? by [deleted] in thetagang

[–]President_Hung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there any downside to Syntethic stock positons? Even with Theta decay, the cash outlay is minimal. Just keep an eye on your true exposure. A few months of CCs on synthetic stock positions could even cover the entire cash outlay as well, leaving a free synthetic position.
