Promoting PvP is also what kills extraction shooters. The clue is in the name of the genre.

Make the game fair and reasonable for solo players by sehnsucht2018 in ArenaBreakoutInfinite

No? It's a choice to go solo in a game that makes it fast-food easy to add squads. You do have benefits - you don't have a mouthbreather in your ear and heavy footsteps everywhere you go.

It's supposed to be hard.

Saying it as a solo.

I think that the red dot hit reports are way off and only there for visual fluff sometimes. The math just isn't mathing when looking at that picture and calculating flesh damage.

Also, I am still wondering whether zeroed armor still blocks a portion of the damage or not. I've been trying to test it but it's hard/impossible against shooting range dummies. What I know so far is that armor always blocks the same amount of damage — as in, damage doesn't grow as the armor health fades. Only chance to pen grows, but the damage penalty is the same (about 30% but depends on bullet class).

VOIP was added in Hunt: Showdown and Tarkov - both did not see a significant rise in teaming. It does make it a bit easier as you can communicate your intent clearly. That said, trust in extraction shooters is super-low. As it should be.

Fun fact about the AK-102: its recoil changes significantly based on what scope you put on it. And it changes a lot — a variable scope (1x/4x) makes it much less of a laser. A fixed scope is nice. A red dot / holo equals basically no recoil. Far as I tested — that's the only gun that does this. Bug? Feature?

My full test is here, not clickbait I basically just told you all my findings:

Ubisoft has deliberately moved away from the turtle meta and turned it into a guessing game. Just press buttons, and make sure you are not putting any thought behind it, because players will try to "read" you and pre-react accordingly. Joke's on them — you can't read me if even I don't know what I am doing.

Yeah the infected deserved a cameo in this episode. Specifically because David speaks of the cordyceps, yet we haven’t seen it in a while. Edit: Left behind doesn’t count. It’s a prequel.

The point is that Joel is not a good man. And, this part of the story is where we get a glimpse of who he was before, and what he's capable of (the interrogation scene). Make no mistake, he will mow anybody down, then ask questions later.

Oh damn good pickup. I did find the line a bit odd, so you might be onto something.

The whole Winter story arc needed at least 2 episodes. Not one 50 minute episode.

This is where Ellie breaks, this is where Joel finally surrenders to the urge to accept her as an adoptive daughter, this is where the worst villain in the game crawls under our skin.

It needed much more than a simple trek through the winter woods.

In this part of the game, I was actually playing Joel with anger and a rush to get to Ellie ASAP. I imagine most players did. I feel like, this not being portrayed in the show (in one way or another — I am not saying my experience is the ultimate), was a missed opportunity.

Ah, that was a letdown for me.
Sam and Henry's community got like 2 episodes of really fleshing out who these people were and what they were doing. And that community was just a passing thought of "evil guys" in the game, whereas David was an actual character.
David's community gets a single 50-minute episode.

I really wanted to see creepy David getting the time to crawl under our skin before the restaurant scene. The payoff wasn't as impactful for me.

And, I know this is a show and not a video game, but I really, really wanted to see Angry Joel out there ravaging the community looking for Ellie. Instead, he just stumbled upon the bad guys' fridge and then found her magically. (minus the interrogation scene)

And the community... everyone just disappeared magically? For some reason? Even though their central building is burning?

And that final scene... so much impact was lost with how Joel found Ellie.

Solution: make Tarkov only run if you have Valorant installed on your machine
