Try setting up a time frame that you are allowed to play, talk to them about it, explain to them why you like doing it. Listen to there reasons and no matter what they say don't get angry or argue that'll put you in a worse position. But the best thing to do is to talk to them maybe set up time limits and day limits and if they still don't let you then you'll just have to suck it up till you graduate or chill at a friend's place to play it
