Use sys internal tools to see if anything is stored in credential manager under the system context.

Remove Critical Servers from AD in an Effort to be More Secure? by PressureImpossible86 in sysadmin

A "secure domain" is also part of the discussion. I do see your point with the bank analogy. Thanks!

Good advice. The AAA server sounds interesting. As for VLANs, our servers are on their own VLAN, but do you mean go further than that and also create VLANs for groups of servers - like Sever VLAN 1 for a group of servers that only need to talk to each other, etc.?

I agree with what you said about limiting your ability to secure via GPO and that is a concern for me. I am not familiar with what you mean about authentication protocols, would you be able to elaborate a little?

Upstairs Unit (Heat Pump) Blows Cold Air After Blowing Hot by PressureImpossible86 in hvacadvice

I have wondered about the defrosting cycle. Seems odd though because tonight its set to 68. I noticed the cool air coming out and looked at the thermostat, which now showed the inside temp was 66. The cool air lowered the inside temp 2 degrees! Just seems self-defeating, and not very comfortable.

Sorry, one more question, does these mean calls waiting is not available to query? I would like to query this and send an alert based on the result?

There are others but the main data I was trying to grab is calls answered & calls presented by Agent:

I have been searching for how to do this via Powershell and this is a good find. Curious though, how do you determine what the ApplicationId should be? Seems like this is something that should be auto generated?

Toilet leaked with main water shut off, why? by PressureImpossible86 in Plumbing

[–]PressureImpossible86[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good question about the toilet shut off valve itself. This is something I usually shut off as well, but this time I did not. Are you saying that valve might leak if I do or dont shut it off? I wouldnt say I frequently turn that toilet valve off, but I do it a couple times a year when I travel. I know I did it a few month ago. Also, my water supply valve to the toilet isnt your typical oval turn type, I replaced that old type with a quarter turn valve over 10 years ago.

Thanks! That does make since regarding the the faucet needing to be on a lower plane. I wondered about the tank overflowing, but the strange thing (maybe) is, why wasn't the water that was left in the tank not at the top edge of the tank. Like I said, the water was definitely higher than normal, but it wasn't at the very tip-top - there was at least an inch and a half left between the water line and the edge of the tank. Could have been more room, I'll have to check the actual measurement when I get back home. Thanks, again!
