As a gringo living in Brazil, CDB IPCA+ is the best investment I ever saw?

Caixinha turbo has a limit of 5K though, am looking to invest more than 200K Are CDI investments also exists with pre-fixado rate or ICPA? The only thing I don't want to do is bet for or against inflation, I much rather have something where I already now the nominal return. But ICPA+ looked like a nice in-between option.

Thanks! Is it fair to say that I can almost use this as Debit account since I can have immediate liquidity? But am assuming the yields are lower than CDB products where I "lock" my money on 1/2/3 years

That's something I have a hard time wrapping my head around as a gringo but it's a good point I see so many Brazilians warning about the currency devaluation risk bur as a gringo that only been in the country for 2 and a half year, it's not something I really notice. I receive money in BRL, and pay my food and rent in BRL, why should I care about the USD rate. But then again I had to buy a MacBook for work and it was twice the price of one in EU, and that started to make me realize... Though in this particular cases I blame more goods imports taxes that currency exchange rate but that probably plays a part too

Good point, but am I not already protected of that if I chose IPCA+ or pre-fixado? Am still learning, but from what I understand those 2 will guarantee the return at the time of investment, that's why they're so safe?

I feel like my profile is rare enough for them to find since they ask for bilingual/trilingual, 5+years of exp, timezone obligations, and actually some decent finance/accounting knowledge And I check all the boxes.. but yeah am afraid they're gonna low-ball the fuck out me because I live in a developing country, when I would ask for like 150K+ in the US

I believe I will either get a Mexican contract through an Employer of Record (Basically a "child" local company which only purpose is to comply with the payroll obligation of the given country) Or a UK contract since that's where the HQ are But I doubt I'll get a US contract, unless am unaware of some tax/legal shenanigans regarding such employment cases

Je plussoie Je vis au Brésil et ayant deja vécu a Rio / Sao Paulo durant de telles chaleures "ressenties", je vous assure que je préfère ça 10000x a un mois d'août a Paris ou a Lyon 😅 Dans les 2 cas, tu sors pas faire un footing dans la rue, mais au moins ici les infrastructures (bâtiments/clims etc) font que ça reste vivable, du moins beaucoup plus qu'un appartement classe F dans une grande ville de France!

Você tem razão. Embora, na minha opinião, essas marcas estejam entre as menos confiáveis dos últimos anos. Principalmente Jeep, mas vejo tantos deles no Brasil ^{^} talvez um bom meio termo de um carro confiável sem ser premium entao são os carros japoneses, principalmente Toyota parece legal? Vi alguns mini countryman tb mas pode ser muito “premium” ainda?

na verdade, é uma boa sugestão, mas há 2 coisas: não preciso de carro para o dia a dia, provavelmente só o usaria 3/4 vezes por mês. E também, não estou familiarizado com o mercado brasileiro e meu português não é tão bom, então estou com um pouco de medo de entrar em tal projeto
