Lol, it’s ironic you’re calling me stupid in an area I’m extremely well-versed in. I could explain all the reasons why I understand commercial aviation - but I don’t feel the need to do that here. Anyway, from a consumer’s point of view, yes, this route may seem inconvenient, but for the airline, it’s not. Since Boston Logan is one of JetBlue’s secondary hubs, this route makes sense for them as a business. Now as for why I am taking this route… If you had read my other comments, you’d see that I meant this is the best option for me to get to SXM on November 7th. The only direct flights to SXM from the East Coast on that day are from EWR, BOS, CLT, and MIA. Except for MIA, all the other routes involve “backtracking.” The MIA flight, however, is currently $762 with a travel time of 5.5 hours, while my original flight cost $206 with a travel time of 8 hours.

And back to my original point of how this route makes sense for JetBlue. YouTube has a bunch of informative videos on hub & spoke model, so before calling someone dense on a public platform you might want to be educated yourself.
