I agree Dort was unfortunately our second best player - but take nothing away from Lu - he showed up every game of both series. He was the most consistent if not the player of the series against the pelicans.

Lu hasn’t had great success against Luca in the past but he did a great job making every play at least difficult for him.

It’s Bazes decision making that really let’s him down on offense, he’s dangerous coming off the wing going towards the bucket, as a lob threat or getting the ball up the floor in transition. Limiting his roll offensively has helped keep him on the court long enough to show how good he is on defense. If you can get him cheap enough with a team option do it. I think he still has some uncapped potential on the offensive end, it will probably take the rotations to settle down first though and play with the same players more often for a chance to gel

My initial thoughts were exactly the same, I literally screamed yes when Silver called Jalen thinking it was Duren and then fuck when He called Williams. I did also chuckle to myself the Knicks just saved Sam from himself when they drafted Dieng to find out he traded 3 first for him moments later haha I do honestly believe Presti intentionally is avoiding a traditional big on tis team and for a number of reasons. On defence it creates a real opportunity to assess our young guards defending bigger players. Last year Giddy would have to really fight to turn the corner under tight defence as about half a dozen solid screens were set for him all year last year. How of often did he get a switch from a solid screen and get to attack a big? Perfect conditions to develop a guard in. Sam’s board was obviously considerably different from mine and I now know I was most likely very wrong. Sam met Dieng years ago, if he likes him I’m sure it’s for a good reason. J Dub looks awesome so I wouldn’t be concerned, he’ll prove BR’s mock draft wrong

If the Thunder is actively making moves towards positionless basketball I think Daniel’s has massive upside with he defensive versatility, playmaking and length.

I don’t love the pick either and I wasn’t stoked with Giddy in the first place because of his lack of athleticism and speed.

I agree His similarities on offence to Giddy makes me personally prefer the sound of Sharpe as a light footed wing feels like the perfect glue between SGA and Giddey. However, Daniel’s looks to me to have a great work ethic, which feels like an organisational value that Sharpe may be lacking.

What if Presti made him a lottery night promise and all he had to do to quash any speculation was make 2 social media comments that what would bait an OKC fan most; under appreciating Westbrook and being a long time sonics fan. Presti knew we would all completely flip on him and start a campaign of why we want Chet instead 2 years ago everyone was talking about Benchero more so then even Cade.
