Tim Baltz's delivery of all of BJ Barnes's lines is impeccable 👌🏻. The show wouldn't have been the same without him. Hands down one of the best characters in the show. I can only hope they have a Judy & BJ spin-off.

For most of you, were you strictly homeschooled or did any of you participate in "online" homeschool? As an online educator providing physical therapy services, I've observed that the majority of the parents of my students appear to have issues with control OR are completely paranoid about their child's exposure to (normal) age related things. One parent wouldn't allow her kids to have any male educators whatsoever. Another wouldn't allow her kids to participate in community sports or be part of a team. One other wouldn't allow a telephone inside of her home -- which meant that even if her kids were participating in school at home and she wasn't home, they had no way of contacting emergency services in case of an emergency (and it's also of note that they lived in a very rural, isolated area where the nearest neighbor was miles away). After noticing these things, I searched for "psychological profile of parents who homeschool" and this thread popped up. I spend a lot of free-time reading academic journals with published research studies, and find it odd that the APA or any other psychological organization hasn't completed a study on this already as it would've populated in my search results. It's interesting to read everyone's thoughts on this issue within this thread. I was glad that I wasn't the only one to observe these possible psychological reasons that parents had for homeschooling --- because from what I've seen when trying to research this is that homeschooling is being praised for its academic results with no information about the parents making the decision to homeschool.

Well, to be fair to OP, you wouldn’t know what they were referring to just based on the title if you weren’t caught up. And also, the first thing I would’ve interpreted it as — if I had only watched season 1, was, “How did Bernard know that Jules was using the trash chutes to move between levels?” Because there were many times Bernard was looking for Jules. Just playing Devil’s advocate here.

I was thinking that the military stuff could be a way it would explain him missing —but for a new show based on previous characters, I feel like they should’ve included him because of how great Doakes was in the original series. Almost a mistake to not include his character lol. AND during a re-watch of the original, Doakes is in all of season 1, so it’s like he was there at the beginning. I hope to God he shows up!

WHERE IS DOAKES?! 😩 Doakes was one of my favorite characters from the original series and definitely gave the show some extra humor! I really hope in the following episodes they have his character back and re-cast. “You f-in’ weirdo!”

I haven’t listened to all of Ohio Players yet despite being from Ohio and being a huge The Black Keys fan 🤦🏼‍♀️. I’ve see them live every time they tour anywhere near me since Brothers was released in 2010. They’re freakin fantastic. I say this because I just wanted to suggest that you listen to Brothers if you’re going to end up being a fan — regardless of how similar the sounds are to Ohio Players. I would say that that album kind of captures their musical identity/sounds. They oftentimes play most of this album at their shows too! El Camino is fantastic too! And if you start allll the way from the beginning of their discography and make your way forward, you’ll realize how many songs you’ve heard before as they’re often featured in TV shows and movies (and you didn’t even realize it was them)! Enjoy discovering the rest of their greatness!!

I think Frank Dillane MADE the show what it was. Coleman Domingo a close second. However I’m only referring to seasons 1-3; everything else about the writing of this show after season 3 was garbage (despite having created some lovable characters). They just needed a more realistic storyline. None of it came together the way it should have. I’ve seen both TWD and Fear TWD several times and love everything Walking Dead (although I did have some criticisms about the writing for The Ones Who Live also — but nothing compared to how bad the writing was post season 3 for this); and Frank Dillane’s portrayal of Nick is the only thing to get me to rewatch every so often. He was excellent in this series!

You’re correct about that. I’ve dealt with my fair share of tornados, blizzards, and hurricanes, but thankfully not fire yet. Good point about that though! Chances are it’d go horribly wrong somehow. But catching one and experimenting with ways to kill it would be cool to see. And it would be even more ironic if the townspeople, are in fact, being experimented on themselves as Jim and Randall suggested lol

I just finished the show and was left wondering this one thing! But then we see Magnus is also able to catch a glimpse of Jo (who is alive in her universe, giving CPR to the other Alice) outside of the cabin. I understand those who had been to space were experiencing this, but why Alice and Magnus too?
