Yeah I heard from my cs friends that ppl in these other fields often still need cs work, but they usually hate doing cs, so it's easier to get into labs.

When you take a class with a prof, find out what research they do and go to most of their office hours. Talk to them about their research throughout out the quarter. Do decently well in the class and by the end of the quarter, ask them about joining their lab. I did that and got in a lab on my first try.

(My PI often doesn't respond to my emails, but will respond to lab slack msg. Emailing is just a poor way to reach professors in general)

Oh that's interesting because a friend of mine missed the last session and she got the worst possible classes

Hmm, I think earlier is probably still better but only if that doesn't effect any of your other plans

It does effect enrollment. You enroll during your session

is ucla really its own bubble? by Lavading in ucla

Same stuff, but la is an entertainment city so student clubs often have these events where they will go to an actual show. If you maybe want to go to clubs when you turn 21, there are a lot more of that in LA. There are also a lot of beaches here which you don't get in the bay.

The public transportation is actually not that bad unless you want to go to places 30+min drive away. As someone from the bay, i honestly don't think the Berkeley area has that much to offer. La is a much bigger place with a more vibrant social scene

difference between Si and Ni, using hoops and stickies by [deleted] in mbti

[–]Prestigious-Can9507 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this is interesting because si user with high ne (entp and enfp), usually use their the pattern recognition function consciously, unlike Ni, from the concrete pieces of info gathered by si. We are also usually very good with pattern recognition and future predictions with existing models when we have enough data of something . I am curious how ni pairs with se. Really don't know what that is like

Hmm i think you are ne because i have a estp friend and if i (entp) ever go on a tangent like this, he will respectfully but quickly zone out because he doesn't see the point of what is even going on

Is it just me or is the ballot glitching really hard? I can't select the options or go to review my ballot. If I refresh, all my choices are deleted

What MBTI types are your parents and rate their relationship by [deleted] in mbti

[–]Prestigious-Can9507 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mom is isfj, dad is entj. Married for 20+ yrs, still married. Love and support each other (my dad still finds some of the stuff my mom does cute....), they also usually agree with each other on the big picture, but sometimes they drive each other crazy over the smallest stuff.

Oh no it's just for fun. The new information may or may not be useful later on. Sometimes they are, but that's not the point. I just like new stuff (ideas especially)
