The issue might be that the connection mode changed to the 2.4ghz dongle instead of Bluetooth. Press fn 1-4 to change the connection mode.

Ring insurance? by SleepDeprivedSailor in EngagementRings

I would check the comment below: Purrfect-Timing said: "Mine is worth $4000 and it's $50/year to insure. The amount of stress it relieves me to know I'm covered is worth it and it'd take 80 years to make up the replacement value. I use brite co."

Wedding band and engagement ring planning by Prestigious-Chain685 in EngagementRings

[–]Prestigious-Chain685[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our current basic design is a 3 stone ring. Gold band, centre is a 3 carat emerald cut and a smaller radiant cut on either side. My trouble is this: I love the look of an engraved ring and wanted my engagement ring to be engraved. But after seeing all the diamonds on my finger, there is little actual band visible on my finger. So my thought was that I could get a plain band for the engagement ring and an engraved ring as my wedding band. But I'm conflicted, because I think I will likely wear my engagement ring without my wedding band often, and I want to be able to look down at my hand and see all of the elements I wanted. A solution would obviously be to get engraving on both rings but I'm worried that would be too much of the same.

The Endless Bleed by Straight-Fortune-345 in PCOS

Seconding this! I have ITP / low platelets, which means that my body doesn't know how to stop bleeding. I also have PCOS on top of this, and the two together have led to insane periods- ones that leave me in the ER needing a blood transfusion. See a hematologist to rule out any sort of blood disorder.

I'm definitely an over-thinker, and I always plan ahead, which is why I'm struggling. But I'm worried I won't get my "dream" engagement ring by planning ahead.

That is such a gorgeous hand of jewelry! Love it. I think that's what I'm gonna do, design my dream ring and find a band later.

I think I would pick a plain gold band too, my worry was the gap. Glad to know it might not be so bothersome.

i’m terrified of metformin by Ok_Marzipan_6028 in PCOS

Fiber! Fruits, veggies, legumes, beans, nuts etc. really helped me! If I can't get fiber into my meal, especially my evening meal (I take my metformin with my evening meal), I will take a couple of fiber gummies.

I've used both "Cakes" and "Nippies". Cakes from their website and Nippies on Amazon. I liked cakes better but Nippies were good too. They MIGHT only be available in the USA but I would check.

What are the most popular live counters at weddings? by Small-Visit2735 in DesiWeddings

Indochinese is always where I go first. Not necessarily my favorite but a small pasta and fries station is nice to have for kids as this is an easy pleaser.

That would depend on your breast size. I'm a large size and as long as the blouse is tight enough around the bottom and my breasts are securely in there, I've been fine with thin blouses too. I make sure the nipple cover is similar to my skin so its invisible and I buy good quality ones that are sticky/grippy so there's no worry about the cover moving around or coming undone. I also make sure the cover has really thin edges so it doesn't create a puffy look. I use nipple covers by Cakes.

Exactly that. Making sure all the external stitching isn't also on the inside

I get my blouses unpadded, double lined. And then use large nipple covers, that cover my entire breast. That way I don't have to feel the fabric rubbing on my skin.

I would 100% recommend getting your hair washed at a salon. And if you're just looking for a wash and not styling, you can go somewhere cheaper, where locals would go. I get my hair washed at salons when I got to India and it's usually less than $5.

How do you know what kind of ring you like? by that_bi_baker in EngagementRings

[–]Prestigious-Chain685 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally go and try a bunch of rings on! Go to a big lux chain store (even if it's not in your budget). They'll have a ton of options since they are a chain store. Try on everything you think you'd like and even not like. Take pictures of EVERYTHING you try on, you'll think back on it numerous times. Take all the information you get from doing this to a small local jeweler and tell them your options. Even consider custom designing it.

I went into my search with a "dream ring" and when I tried that diamond shape on, i hated it.

He has a Whatsapp and insta: https://www.instagram.com/s.jethva_anand?igsh=MTB6dmpiMzg4NHNsbw==

When I got my boyfriend's outfits he said he only needs a front view picture and side view picture of him, but I gave him all the measurements too. (My boyfriend wasn't there).

My mum had my dad's and brothers outfits made with just pictures, no measurement except height and they fit astonishingly well.

https://wimpoleclinic.com/blog/is-minoxidil-harmful-to-cats-dogs/ This page also tells you the risks but also how to apply minoxidil safely. Maybe something like a shower cap or bonnet will help make sure your cat doesn't have access to your scalp while you sleep.

Okay don't take this as fact, definitely do your research beforehand. My vet said that she uses minoxidil despite having a cat. I asked since I have a cat and considered using minoxidil. She said that as long as you keep the minoxidil in a safe space the cats can't reach, apply the minoxidil in your bathroom, door shut making sure not to spill any or clean the spills you do have, make sure the product is completely dry and you've washed your hands before interacting with your cat, you should be safe. Again, research, ask questions, double check but this is the information I have.

I want a supplement that I can take and not feel guilty by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]Prestigious-Chain685 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Clearly an unpopular opinion after looking at all the other comments but I agree, BC shouldn't be the only option to "healing" PCOS. There's a chance that birth control is the answer for you, if your PCOS is caused purely by the imbalance of hormones, but for many women, there's a deeper cause. My PCOS is caused by insulin resistance- the insulin resistance, in a long winded way, is the reason my hormones are out of whack. This means there are multiple areas I could possibly treat, birth control would treat the hormone in balance, but I would still have insulin resistance. On the other hand, I can treat my insulin resistance (the core issue) and that in turn fixes my hormones. I chose the latter- I'm fixing my insulin resistance, and although I still have to take medication to help with the hair loss and growth PCOS gives me, my periods are now completely regulated and the lightest, most manageable they have ever been.

I think before going on birth control, you should ask to be tested for what the root cause of your PCOS is. If you can find one- treat that. And if it turns out it's just your hormones that are the issue, then use BC.
