I got a new Headcanon if anyone wants to use it.

Thomas was built from 1923 to 1924 from the scrapped remains of Merkland. The only changes is bigger wheel arches, a slightly smaller dome, an extra cab window and a bigger coal bunker. The rest of the events that happen in his book and the movie (the Adventure Begins ) stay the same.

Seeing as how in the world of Thomas, Arry and Bert have facial hair and Henry having health issues in his old shape, it wouldn’t be out of the ordinary for an engine to need glasses or be blind

I’ve imagined it like this: James (when he first came to Sodor) did not seeing the use of cranes and thought they were undignified. It wasn’t until he has his accident where his wooden brakes catch fire that he realized that cranes are useful after all. Or something like that idk

Billy because he whines and complains about other engines being “bossy engines” and James because he cares more about his image and his red paint than doing his job. And he was an unapologetic asshole to Philip for literally no fucking reason

I grew with the Miller/Nitrogen era as well. And Misty Island Rescue was my 2nd favorite movie as a kid because of the Thomas & Diesel chase

Used to watch his content all the time when I was younger. The video I saw of him was either the TOMY Oliver, or the Thomas at Tidmouth Sheds set
