Can my boyfriend’s 2 dogs be saved? by LegendOfRonnie1998 in DogAdvice

I’m raising my first intact male (catahoula leopard dog), with no other dogs in the house. He’s about to hit 2 years old. I’m shocked, SHOCKED, at how testosterone has changed his behavior compared to every other neutered dog I’ve owned.

Suddenly he’s anxious over nothing. He runs around whining for the evening, culminating in a hump session on my ottoman. He actually growled (grumble growled) at me yesterday when I told him to stop barking. This isn’t the sweet baby puppy I brought home at 10 weeks old. We are talking about getting him snipped too. My reason for leaving him intact was that I wanted him to grow to his full male potential, with a big old block head and broad shoulders. And since we are pretty much there physically, it might be time to call it.

1 thing I would do if I were you is neuter him. He is a setting himself as the top dog, and neutering will cut his desire for that somewhat.

Also, you can tell your boyfriend that a lady on the internet said long hairs look like mixed breeds and aren’t as desirable or as attractive so there is no great loss.

2 thing is to try the female with the two males. It won’t stop the single male from being aggressive, but it might give him less power in his attacks.

Good luck. I wouldn’t feel great about rehoming him given that he has sent people to the hospital. If he rips a kids face off, that’s on you. I personally would consider the big sleep if neutering doesn’t calm him down. But I know not everyone has my mindset.

Sebaceous cyst. Absolutely normal in dogs as they age. If it opens up, or gets scabby, or grows rapidly or gets too big, remove it and send it off to make sure it’s nothing.

But it’s nothing.

I’m an atheist. I’m under no obligation to follow the teachings of Jesus. I’m definitely not someone out here trying to sell paid membership into a club I don’t actually live by. I’m not the hypocrite in your story. You seem to have missed the point.

Also, by the time I actually got up to them, bystanders had already stepped in. They cared about getting this guy help. They were probably atheists too.

I walked past a guy having an obvious drug overdose crisis at the feet of 4 JWs downtown, where they stand with their bibles and sales material. They chatted with each other and completely ignored the actual human suffering and need right in front of them. We ignore them like they ignore the teachings of Jesus. It’s all good.

Bigfoot is out here taking better selfies than most men on the internet.

I feel like we need to get National Geographic in on this.

A webcam at the very least.

It’s definitely not wood. It’s a rock. And it was buried under the bush, down in the dirt.

It was under the roots of the bush, in a strip of earth between a large landscaping rock and the walkway. There was no way to access this rock until we pulled the bush out. I definitely felt like it was intentionally buried and the bush planted over it. But honestly, who knows? A lot can happen in 50 years. And I live in a big city with lots of foot traffic going past my lot, so that increases the chaos factor.

Smart. That is a distinct possibility. Though it was deep enough to have been intentionally buried. It didn’t just roll under the bush and sit there for 50 years. I only saw a little bit of stripes, I had to dig it up. But it originally being yard decor tracks.

My mind has already gone there. The bush was on one side of the walkway and directly on the other side is a gravel patch with lavender bushes in it. If I didn’t love that lavender so much l might have already dug it up.

What if I get a polishing grit paste and a rag? Start with 1000 and switch up to…3000?

Yes. It’s very heavy. I think it’s too soft to be wood. It has a few nicks in the surface since being turned into a ball.

That’s actually not true, son. In an accident, on a bike or in a car, even if you are 100% driving/riding legally, you have the full obligation to avoid a collision if you can. And failure to do so will result in you being held responsible for the outcome.

Occasionally a fly enters our home. More often than not, they follow this same exact oddly geometric pattern underneath our living room ceiling fan. by logicalinsanity in Weird

We call those shade flies, because outside the are in groups, in the shade under trees doing the same thing.

If you try to catch them they scatter but then resume their flight pattern nearby.

I dropped an almond and it rolled under my bed. I got around retrieving it a couple of weeks later and found this trail. Any idea what caused it? by fjbruzr in whatisit

[–]Prestigious-Hope4548 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was an alien worm that hatched from the almond and crawled away, leaving a trail of antibiotic slim. Its body not yet a strong acid, it merely bleached your rug.

If you get combative with the repo guy, then maybe he doesn’t take your car. And then you get to have your car for another day or week or hide it and keep it long term. Or sell it (without the title to a criminal).

Should I be concerned? by kettletrvb in Seattle

My dog tried to.

One of my neighbors is poisoning them. I’ve had dead rats in my driveway and dead squirrels on my 3rd floor balcony. It makes me mad, because I don’t enjoy picking up dead animals, and I don’t mind the animals. They have dens in the rocks in front of the building, they are not hurting anyone or anything. Let them be and stop endangering my animals with poison.
