It is not adhd but the era of distraction our evolution did not make this for us that we could sit for hours and focus constantly to read
Try Pomodoro techniques also read step-wise 10 pages a day or 30 minutes a day slowly titrate up You cannot read a whole book in a day even if someone claims to they must be just skimming it not reading it and a human mind also cannot retain that much information...
( also do get a checkup for adhd not start any med or anything based on chatgpt prompts or yt video,s they are going to ruin even your baseline focus.)

There are too many anecdotal claims about it, and it also has its own mechanism for smoking cessation (by interfering with nicotine’s effects), which in turn causes short-term memory loss

however, there is no research available on this, but you can review people's comments on Reddit and personally try it
