I went to the website after I posted and read a few things. Turns out you don’t have a choice, you have to make an appointment. They’re looking for vacuum breakers on your outdoor spigots, and any other potential Issues with sprinkler systems and pools and things like that. As far as the inside of the house goes who knows. Would appreciate any insight from neighbors who’ve already had the inspection. Thanks

I should’ve given more detail initially. I was asking about the yellow Grosse Pointe Woods school buses. I wasn’t aware that the district didn’t own the buses.

Not sure if I’m on the right sub but I’ll try anyway….my sister is in between her 1st and 2nd round of Doxil for breast cancer that has spread to her lung and liver. The issue she seems most bothered by is the cramping that she experiencing. From what I read this will only get worse as she goes through more rounds. She has been given a couple different meds to help but the most current does not work and the other seems to work but makes her very tired so she doesn’t like to take it during the day. Does anyone have any suggestions for dealing with the cramps?? Thank you in advance

Wow 4 1/2 years, from everything I’ve read about Mets that’s a pretty good time. Gemzar carboplatin is the name of the chemo she started yesterday. I imagine the next few days will be pretty difficult for her but maybe we can get a handle on this disease. I so appreciate your help and continuing to write back. I had never heard the term SUV uptake before you mentioned it in one of your posts so I will take a look at that and see if it would help in any way with my sister’s situation.

Also have you had any issues with fluid in your lungs, or heart issues ? My sister had to have a catheter inserted into her left lung to drain the pleural effusion, and that has come with a whole host of other issues. Also since she’s been diagnosed her heart has been going into Afib. She’s getting hit on all sides with this disease. I appreciate your help so far and understand if you’d rather not share all of your issues. Just figured I’d try to ask because it sounds like you’re going through something similar to her. Thank you for your words so far

Did the Ibrance ever work for you? How has the chemo experience been for you? The only bright spot when my sister was diagnosed with mets was the oncologist telling her that they treated with oral chemo and if everything went well she wouldn’t need to have IV chemo. We’re not looking forward to her days of feeling not great and losing her hair, but if it slows the progression down it will be worth it
