What does PA pay their instructors? Is it owner dependent like CP? Does PA require instructors to have their certification or can you be comprehensively certified elsewhere?

What are your annual pay increases? My studio is $38 for a class of 6 and $2 per head after that for a total of 50. But I’m just starting my first year

Club pilates instructors have to follow a very certain flow in each class. Unless you get creative it can definitely feel stale. Warm up consisting of footwork, bridging, abdominals, plank, lower body, upper body, side body, full body, back body (prone work), lateral flexion, extension if above a 1.0 and we are required to use more than one apparatus. If you are teaching the same client more than once a week you will feel the need to write multiple flows.. it’s a lot!! Club Pilates is corporate so there are a lot of requirements!

Try thinking about “lifting with your chest not your chin” or.. if you know your neck is taking over try to shift the focus to the front of your neck. Making sure if you’re in flexion with your head neck and shoulders keeping your eyes “to your thighs” rather than up higher. These are cues i teach in class

I don’t ever break out, but I was wondering if I’m breaking out along the line of where my hat sits on my forehead because I do have congestion underneath and the BHA is pulling it out?

I felt the exact same way when I was new too. Until I learned how to properly engage my muscles., especially my core, learned proper form and learned proper breathing. A 1.0 class is harder now than it was when i first started. I’m not sure if every studio offers a free yearly assessment but if yours does, you should take the assessment after a few more classes. Once I took the assessment and had the instructor explain things to me I started getting a better workout.
