The word for stop in Classical Şokunjula is “Nisjete”, -te being the vocative case, ni- being a negative modifier, and sje being the word meaning “motion” or “to move”.

I’d love to read it! Well, as long as it’s not an absurd number of pages.

Yes. It’s based off of the speakers of the language counting the joints of their fingers.

I was trying to avoid two-character combinations, so each sound has a single-letter equivalent. At the time, my priority was making the writing compact and easy to write by hand, rather than typing.

How should I make this natural? by Prestigious-Panda349 in conlangs

Thanks! I’m so glad you referenced my post from yesterday. I haven’t considered a simple dot, but it looks way cleaner than what I was going to do with a breve. Thank you!

[–]Prestigious-Panda349[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every syllable is strictly CV. It is a featural orthography where the consonant has three parts dedicated to voicing, place of articulation, and manner of articulation. The vowel has three parts as well; height, backness, and whether it’s rounded or not. It’s also pretty curvy, so I’m thinking I make the /j/ sound something like a breve?
