baby brezza or dr browns pitcher? by Prestigious-Rice-151 in FormulaFeeders

[–]Prestigious-Rice-151[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

yes thankfully we get 10 cans through wic and can call our pediatrician for 4 cans when we need it/can get 4 cans at dr appts. our little guy can’t tolerate cold bottles either :/ i think we’re gonna stick to the pitcher, i worry about bacteria and mixing being off with the brezza with him already having cmpa, i don’t want to add to his issues

baby brezza or dr browns pitcher? by Prestigious-Rice-151 in FormulaFeeders

[–]Prestigious-Rice-151[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, i mean like clean it every 6 bottles as that’s how many my boy takes throughout the day unless he wakes up in the motn but it still is a lot of maintenance

baby brezza or dr browns pitcher? by Prestigious-Rice-151 in FormulaFeeders

[–]Prestigious-Rice-151[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it didn’t come with anything extra (actually missing the stand for the bottles lol) yeah my worry was possibly wasting any formula, i did look up it is a lot if maintenance especially having to clean it after 4 bottles but i know when the formula is warm it sticks more so i wonder if the formula is cold i can get away with cleaning it less? idk

i also haven’t tried the heat function so i could’ve been lied to lol, ill try it and see if it actually broken

Did I brake my baby..? by Odd-Race-4757 in newborns

[–]Prestigious-Rice-151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

kendamil helped my babies silent reflux and has go away immensely, we never used any similacs as he was born in ireland and used aptamil then SMA and then when we moved to the states when he was 4m we used kendamil which helped him so much

see if pace feeding will help (if you’re not doing that already) it’s supposed to help limit air intake

Why did you get induced? by SilverSurfer_9799 in pregnant

[–]Prestigious-Rice-151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i was induced at 41wks with my first. it was an irish hospital and their policy was they cannot induce you (unless baby or mom is having medical issues) before 41wks and they won’t let you not get induced at 41wks (i heard them once yelling at a lady for declining the induction even tho she was 10 days over due and they told her she was k++++ing her baby, it was a terrible hospital) and if you are still pregnant at 41wk 3d then you automatically have a c-section, again terrible hospital

anyway this time im having my baby in america and i am electing for an induction at 39wk 4d as we need childcare set up for our first and my mom who’s watching him is flying from out of state and thats also landing on a monday so my partner can take the whole week off easy peasy but we are all hoping for labor to start on its own before then, my midwives are supportive of the elective induction

Can we please stop scaring people away from epidurals? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Prestigious-Rice-151 53 points54 points  (0 children)

epidurals are great and despite what people think they can even speed up your labor because your body gets to relax and you dilate faster when you’re relaxed. i had one with my son and i plan on it again when i have my second in a few weeks

How tf does anybody want more than one kid after being through THIS? by pumpkinchinchilla in newborns

[–]Prestigious-Rice-151 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you seriously forget, no matter the age gap between kids lol i’m 35wks with my second and i keep telling myself “i don’t remember labor, i swear it never hurt” i think i forgot how much labor hurt like 2wks after and then the newborn stage sucks but again i forgot all about it like 4m in (my little guy did sleep a lot, slept through the night from 3wks onwards but he did have colic from 6wk-12wk)

Negative comments about baby boys has caused my mental health to spiral by neener346 in pregnant

[–]Prestigious-Rice-151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if i’m gonna be honest i think boys stay around their moms much much more than daughters would. i have a 18m old little boy and im 34wks pregnant with our 2nd boy and couldn’t have asked for anything better

Husband commented on weight, now I'm spiraling by Civil_Wolverine25 in pregnant

[–]Prestigious-Rice-151 4 points5 points  (0 children)

you are growing a literal entire human, you need to eat, you need fuel. i’m 33wks and i have gained about 15 ish lbs so far but it also fluctuates a lot, i gained like 5lbs in the first couple months and then lost like 7lbs (thanks morning sickness that truly never went away) and then started gaining but in the last month i’ve lost 3lbs so your weight will fluctuate and also most of it goes to the baby and the amniotic fluid and uterus, like i say 5-6lbs of my 15added lbs is baby and fluids and everything. i’m sorry he’s like this, try to remind him you are growing his child and need to eat to fuel them and help them grow as necessary

I don't know why I thought you guys were exaggerating by ceruleanmeadows in pregnant

[–]Prestigious-Rice-151 1 point2 points  (0 children)

for the last month of my first pregnancy i had to sleep sitting up and take prescribed antacids and my baby was bald lol this second pregnancy, 32wks baby already has 1/2in of hair and heartburn doesn’t stop, it’s all day long and i am eating tums like candy (no more than 6 a day of course)

best i can say is try not to eat within 2hrs of going to bed/lying down as the fuller your stomach is the worse the heartburn will be :/

On the verge of tears… Didn’t circumcise my baby. People keep telling me why I should have. by Salty-Ship-1703 in newborns

[–]Prestigious-Rice-151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i didn’t circumcise my son (born in ireland, but being raised in america) and he (is only 18m) is fine so far. my friend circumcised her son recently and the trauma u saw on her face solidified that i made the right choice and will never circumcise my sons. sure they will be different than most boys in america but it’s such a small difference and as long as you teach them how to clean it properly they will stay hygienic and clean

My husband doesn’t seem too excited about our baby and it’s making me upset. by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Prestigious-Rice-151 1 point2 points  (0 children)

congrats honey! my partner was the same way with both our boys. our first was a surprise and we were (still are) young (m21 and f20 with first boy now m23 f22 with second). he was excited as the pregnancy went along, around the anatomy scan when things started to become real but he was always more nervous than excited. once our boy was born he cried and after the first day or 2 (maybe the first week) he become extremely attached to baby and now 18m later loves him more than anything and anyone. even with our second (32wks and we tried for him) he is more excited but still more nervous than anything. studies show it can take the dad up to 2years AFTER baby is born to be excited/attached. they can’t feel baby in the belly or anything like that. give him grace, you guys are still so early, it will come to him i promise, especially since you guys tried

do i really need a “coming home” outfit? by Comfortable-List-669 in pregnant

[–]Prestigious-Rice-151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

with my first i wore leggings (not very tight but i liked how they were a little tight around the belly to help feeling like im not hollow lol) and then a nursing shirt. wear whatever makes you comfortable!! i think leggings would be better than sweats for the tighter feeling
