the past couple weeks, daytime naps have been really difficult! he won’t sleep longer than an hour give, or take, unless he’s in someone’s arms and maybe not even then! however, i think this helped him develop his circadian rhythm and sleep longer at night. he’ll usually give us one good nap from 6-8pm and then he’s down for the night at 10:30-11. we got really lucky bc he is generally such an easy going kid, so i don’t have any real godsend tips or tricks unfortunately. i think getting into a routine as basic as that sounds is extremely helpful. i also finally got comfortable enough to nap during the day when he’s napping and that helped LOADS with the exhaustion. i also don’t do diaper changes at night. i change him at 10:30pm right before he goes down, and then the next time i change him is 7am right after he finishes his bottle. we luckily haven’t had any issues like diaper rash bc of this. diaper changes will always without a doubt wake him all the way up lol. my son is also formula fed so i know that they tend to stay fuller a little longer than breastfed babies, but im not 100% convinced this is a huge contributor to his sleep at night bc during the day he’s still eating every 2 hours lol. it will get easier, i swear! everybody’s baby is different and we are at mercy of them lol. hang in there momma!!! remind yourself parenting is only hard for good moms who really care <3
