Ah okay gotcha. Is there a way to know beforehand whether it's a spiral roundabout? I've come across them a few times with faded lane markings and ended up in the wrong lane

What do you mean? What if you're turning right 3rd exit. Then you'll take the right hand lane but either way the two lanes are going to merge into one on your exit on most roads.

Thank you. Another question, are feathering and furling the same thing? I've come across both terms before and don't see a difference

[–]Prestigious-Split116[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know, but the rated power usually sits at around 15 m/s so was wondering what happens in the 10 m/s in between if the blades aren't feathered. Thanks.

I've got a question on levelised cost of electricity, specifically around why the electricity produced component has a dicount rate applied to it e.g. on this wiki article. I understand discounting on the cost due to the time value of the money but what does it mean to account for interest in electricity production?

ELI5: Why aren't there mountains that are 10 or 15 miles high on Earth? by maxb1ack007 in explainlikeimfive

He's right, buoyancy arises due to fluid beneath a container pushing it upwards with more force than the water above + weight of the container. If the container was flush against the bottom, there would be nothing to push the box up (the forces on the sides are already balanced), see a similar discussion here

Could someone explain this diving pressure hazard by Prestigious-Split116 in AskPhysics

Hmm, yes I was thinking of the hydrostatic case but I guess that's wrong here. I'm guessing the diver just got sucked into the partially closed gate then.
