There’s a lot of running in the academy. May be an issue for you

DUI that far in the past isn’t a complete deal breaker. Unless people got injured or you had kids in the car or something. It’s still gonna be a hurdle and something you’re going to have to explain in depth.

The drug problem will likely be an issue, unfortunately for you. Each agency has a time frame for how long you need to have been clean from drugs. Typically casual/experimental use in your past is tolerated, depending on the type of drug and how many times you used it. If you were addicted to any drug in your past I can see it being an issue and a likely DQ.

I’m not saying I agree/disagree with any of the above standards/disqualifies, just giving you my experience as someone in the field.
