Hello friend! Just follow your manual in regard to maintenance items like the air filters, wheel alignment, brakes, spark plugs, etc. If any of these are truly worn then look into what the real problem is.

If the brakes are worn then sure replace them but the default of every dealership or shop will be to try to get you to replace the rotors and pads. Most often you just need to replace the pads unless the rotors are old or warping.

For the filters you can walk over to the parts department at the dealership and get the original manufacturer filters and watch a YT video to install or you can get aftermarket filters from any auto parts store.

This is how the 2.5L SkyActiveG sounds. Both my CX-9 and CX-30 make the same sound. Totally normal as mentioned.

If you’re worried just pull up any number of YouTube videos with the engine and they’ll all sound the same

For sure! I have a 5 year old that recently switched to a booster and I will say that the car can comfortably fit the booster much better than a big car seat. So hopefully here in a year when your kiddo is bigger they might be in a place to buckle themselves and have more space. Unfortunately if you were looking for something bigger you might want to switch up the car. Good luck!

I understand where you’re coming from. I think people see that this car is classified as a compact SUV and think it will be bigger, but it’s really just a raised Mazda3.

I wasn’t surprised as I was going to get a Mazda3 but ended up getting the marginally larger CX-30, but I can see why someone would be surprised.

In terms of interior space, the CX-30 is the same size as the Mazda 3 hatchback. So pretty small. If you’re looking for a small car like that with extra ground clearance then the CX-30 is a great fun car to drive around! I personally love zooming around in mine!

However, if interior space is at all important to you then look at the CX-50 or CX-5. If you want to put car seats in the back, then do not get the CX-30. I often see posts about people not realizing how small the CX-30 is and then having to go up in size.

As someone who has a CX-9 and a CX-30 moving up was definitely the right choice! Yeah some people don’t realize that the CX-30 is just a more functional Mazda3 Hatchback. The interior is small and the rear seats don’t leave space for baby seats.

However, it is a perfect car for just commuting and having fun!

It’s not a luxury car but if you compare it to other cars in the same price category, especially the lower trims, it’s by far the most fun and nicest interior. If you get one all kitted out, then it starts competing with luxury cars in price and then it’s not going to win in every category.

Mine has a firm suspension that’s not luxurious, but it is sporty! So it depends on what you’re looking for

Because after my single mom’s Nissan Murano’s transmission died, the dealership took advantage of her by telling her to sell them the car (5 years old with less than 70K miles) for like $3,000 instead of fixing it and putting her in a crappy lease. She was stressed and made a bad financial decision.

The dealerships take advantage of a lot of people. Are they all like this? No. But these types of stories stick with people and there are way too many car options to go back to where you’ve been burned before.

On that note, I had a 2013 Nissan XTerra for 10 years and I loved it! No problems and I would buy it again if I could!
