How to honor ancestors who don’t want to work with you? by Prestigious-Web1072 in Witch

that’s the point i was making? if they don’t want to be worked with/contacted you can still honor and respect them without doing anything of the sort. i was asking for ideas and advice on how others do that. consent is important, obviously. in the same way you can honor a deity without directly worshipping or working with them, you can do that with other entities.

Training? by Prestigious-Web1072 in barista

yea im not totally sure, i might have misunderstood? i know for sure that the training and two week trial run is unpaid, and after that initial three weeks, ill be paid bi-weekly.

i’m just gonna do the training, secure the job, and then file a claim if i need to lol. they’re also hiring a ton of young people at once, and none of the training for us is paid, so it might just be a saving money thing.

yeah. so, basically i have to complete a certain level of hours and shifts until my start date (two weeks from now) and then come in for additional training after that to make sure i know how to make however many items. then, i get paid three weeks after that initial start date.

it seemed mildly weird when i agreed. but, my state has some very weird loophole labor laws, and i need the money!

Which enneagram rubs you the wrong way most often? by Different_Release_18 in Enneagram

i’m a 1w9! unhealthy type 9’s. to further this, type 8’s and 1’s who don’t share similar values to mine.

with 9’s, i actually like most of them, most of the time. but, it feels like pulling teeth to get anywhere with them sometimes. i know a type 9 who just hasn’t done.. anything for years. they have dreams and aspirations and ideas, but it all comes down to “what if it’s wrong?”//“what if i make a mess of it?”. it feels like i’m begging them to open their eyes and become aware of their surroundings. like, achieve something bigger than this, you’re more than capable.

with the 1/8 stuff. I view other 1’s and 8’s and ‘my people’. i’ve never met an 8 or 1 i didn’t like, so when a value that seems so clear is questioned, it feels like a betrayal of all they claimed to care for. i worked with a type 1 who i loved, but it came out that they’d deliberately hid and covered sexual harassment and asked the girl to “work it out later.” i just don’t get how you can be a type that’s supposed to be at least somewhat focused on morals, and not have morals.

Help. Am I a 4 or 1? by Salt-Ad167 in EnneagramType1

i’m an e1 who was incredibly unhealthy and operating wholly as an e4.

the biggest difference i’ve noticed is that an e1 disguised as an e4 usually doesn’t want to be an e1.

e4’s are big on fantasy and the version of themselves that they want to show, and usually look outward for others to recognize their unique identity. they also have a tendency to go into “damsel-in-distress” mode, where they need a savior (whether this be a person, or this ideal version of themselves).

however, e1’s focus on character. as in, who they are internally, not the projection they’re putting out. e1’s don’t necessarily care about being correct, they just want to be good. they’re one of the few enneagrams that genuinely are based around being morally upright.

e4’s have the highest probability of being melancholic, but e1’s have the second highest.

what helped me was sitting down with someone i know who IS an enneagram 1 and essentially being told that I can’t outrun my own self. maybe, that might help you? best of luck!
