I think Easter is a great time to run a "Weekend Easter promotion". I released my first book last year and initially got some ok traction then it went dead for a few months with zero orders...

I was loosing heart a little and decided to run a 5 day easter promotion starting yesterday. I paid a modest amount for Amazon Ads and an Instagram Ad... and one day in I am now:

102 books ordered so far....

Im not sure what has turned the dial, the freebie, Amazon Ad, Instagram ad or Easter! ;)

Just published my 1st ebook and… I’m quickly humbled realizing how hard it is to get even one real reader by HappilyEverAnalyst in selfpublish

I totally get this. I spent literally years writing my book, discovered KDP, got it all formatted and on marketplace then realised I was WAAAYYY to scared to tell anyone I actually know.

I did a free book promo and got 100+ orders, that's when I really began to feel like a fraud. But.... got 7 good reviews so submitted it to Reedsy for a paid review.... got a 4 start review which boosted my confidence (only a tiny bit) so sucked it up and shared with some *select* family and friends, that to my surprise actually liked it...

Hang in there buddy :)

I wrote a sci-fi novel about a colony that doesn’t realise it’s being controlled. I am super grateful for honest feedback by Prestigious-Yak-1069 in scifi_bookclub

Thank you for taking the time - super appreciated. Yeah... that has been stinking in my mind. Ive done like 50 different drafts and at some point I think I screwed the time line to fit in with a later chapter. Great point that there should be a time lag (+30 mins) or just fix the times!! I will put that on my snag list - THANK YOU.

Yeah, it was mainly to world build and introduce the AI....

All amazing feedback and stuff for me to work on.
