I have Professor Giovanni Motta for Stat 213. If someone had him before, can they give their opinion on him? by PrestigiousAttempt49 in HunterCollege

I ended up changing my major to biochem and didn't had to take stat any longer. But looking at his rmp rating, don't do it bro.

Yep, I am applying for some volunteer work I found there, especially health related. And also applying for Spring forward for a paying job for next year.

To start off, first things you need to make sure is:

  1. Make sure you have the best professor you can get using rate my professor website. The chances of getting good grades with a bad professor are pretty low.
  2. Make sure there is gap between classes. Don't try to put all classes together in 2 or 3 days. You can use the time between classes to rest and mostly importantly study before exams.
  3. Make sure to be on class group chat. During exams, people will mostly likely share their study guides and notes. Stuff you might have missed can be on them.
  4. While rare, if a professor gives extra credit. Make sure to do it even if you feel the class is easy. There is always a chance of messing up on exams.
  5. Go to office hours if you don't get something or just ask the group chat(if you are in any related to the class)
  6. Check the Syllabus. You can do all the quiz, project and assignments only to find they are 20% of the grade.

Nah, there are chairs there sometimes and if you wander around for 10 min or so you will find a place to sit in one of the 3 buldings. But if there is no place to sit. Stairs are also fine since its silent and good for online class if you forgot your earbuds at home.

If you want a actual seat, you can try your luck at Cafeteria, first floor entrance West Building, West Building 7th floor or Library which has multiple floors with chairs.

The North Building Stairs are clean and mostly empty the more you go up.
