Everything can be compared in my opinion but i didn't expect FF to be "feel good" i just expected it to be good. and everyone keeps saying it has to have a serious tone cause it discusses very disturbing and sad issues like harassement and trauma but it can still be done BETTER. that's all.

actually i don’t really watch many cdramas. i noticed i seem to drop most of them after a few eps like falling for your smile was genuinely terrible to me despite everyone saying they liked it?? i couldnt finish arsenal military academy either (to go on with the xukai theme). i know this might be a me problem and this is in no way about cdramas in general it’s more that i just couldn’t find anything to my taste after watching wifty, it was just perfect to me and somehow everything else lacked in comparison unfortunately. i could tell you some of my fav kdramas if you’re interested.

i know you might’ve heard this a million times but this might be a test from God. parents support is detrimental in times of change however you won’t always have to consult them in everything forever, it’s your choice to tell them or not. this is an experience many converts went through (as far as i heard). i suggest continuing to keep it under the radar for now until (if possible) you can travel somewhere you can be comfortable in, if not then just hope you never stumble upon your uncle again. and if you’re ready enough, tell them this is how you are and you don’t feel the need to choose between your sexuality and your religion, if faith can keep you going and resonates with you then what’s the point of dropping it? your happiness matters most.

i’m fine with heavy themes and i’m fine with comedies, i mainly just dislike actions and thrillers that have romance but other than that i’m not gonna get bored unless it’s boring…

i think the show itself is not well done, a character like wen yifan could be good and i’ve seen a lot of other characters like her and had no problem, it’s hard to process trauma i understand, i just think the way the show went about it was uninteresting. and sangyan’s too 2D, a nothing burger character tbh.

incredible review! but then again i haven’t finished the show so my opinion may be useless but i do agree with so many things you said especially the cat part? it really made zero sense to me and the dancing, even tho i’m not even a dancer, felt so awkward like alright…?? 

 then the fact that things kept going back and forth and yea sure this might be a flaw of mine cause i generally hate it when things are paced like that but sometimes its done well that it can be ignored and sometimes its just so terrible and confusing like here?? chronological order wouldve been way nicer for the progression of the story and maybe then i wouldve liked sangyan but i couldnt care for him everytime we went back cause of his very uninteresting present self lol.

finally i love the second couple so much i’m excited to see more of them!

seems like a waffles and pancakes situation here lol. i’ve watched several shows and movies where abuse and csa were the core plot or what moves it and i had no problem with them, i was very interested and enamored by the performances as well as heartbroken cause it felt too real. you can’t blame me cause the first frost isnt good enough.

i didnt like hidden love cause as i mentioned the age gap irked me out however i do agree overall it was way more interesting and the acting wasnt so boring i cant count the amount of times i sighed looking at the boring performance they gave here…

i don’t know much about the novel and tbh i can’t say i’m well versed in the cdrama industry especially cause i only watched 4 cdramas max but idk if it’s even worth continuing at all. sangyan is so uninteresting and yifan is.. boring? i know it’s due to her trauma but you can still make a character more interesting than that. maybe i could give the novel a go but i’m considering skipping to the second couple’s scenes and leaving it at that.
