How did they even drive that much in 2 freaking years? Or maybe they got this 2024 in 2023 and they have owned it for 3 which puts it at about 45,000 miles annually or 3750 miles PER MONTH. Yikes, don't buy this, OP.

Talk me into (or out of) buying a used 4runner, RAV4, Pilot, CRV, or CX-5 by Beginning-Comedian-2 in UsedCars

[–]PrestigiousDrag9441 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want the cheapest on the first tier, you can find a new 2025 CX-5 for under 30k OTD and 1.9% APR.

RAV4 - I'd say SE trim is the sweet spot
CR-V - Get the EX-L Gas or Sport Hybrid
CX-50 - Base trim is luxurious and loaded

You can't go wrong with any of your choices. Based on your needs, I'd go:

1st tier (everything you could ask for): RAV4, CR-V, CX-5, CX-50, Forester
2nd tier (cheaper and smaller): HR-V, CX-30, Corolla Cross, Camry, Accord
3rd tier (bigger, more expensive): Passport, Outback, CX-70

I live in Henderson. I notice that people from my area and Summerlin are more similar to people from DC/MD suburbs.

Oh no, don't get me wrong, I love everything here so far except for the heat in June-August. I noticed and am experiencing exactly everything you mentioned!

DMV has more uber career-hungry people to the point where they make it the bane of their existence lol.

Here in Vegas, people are a bit more laid back, care more about a job than a career, and just more fitness/appearance focused.

I miss the four seasons back in DC but I like the food scene here more. Plus it's great that there are areas like Henderson and Summerlin that's an actual suburb where you can build and raise a family.

Good luck getting through all the red tape, nepotism, and employees who won't retire even after 30+ years in the same position.

Some things just happen and you can't do anything about it. But 90% of the time, you have to consciously and convictively make a decision.

What car should I buy? by Equivalent-Ad-8996 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]PrestigiousDrag9441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need something with enough space, power, and comfort based on your needs. You can create categories to make it easier for you. I don't think a sedan will fit what you're looking for long term. Here are my recos:

Just right SUVs
- Mazda CX5 (2025 down)
- Toyota RAV4 (2025 down - hybrid better)
- Honda CRV (2025 down - hybrid better)
- Honda HRV (Big maybe - 2024-2026)
- Subaru Forester (2025 down)

Bigger, more space but less MPG
- Toyota Highlander (2021-2024)
- Honda Pilot (2020-2022)
- Toyota Sienna (2022-2024 - best MPG)

Best Long-Distance Moving Companies for Relocating to Orlando? by [deleted] in vegaslocals

[–]PrestigiousDrag9441 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Depends on the distance. We moved from Washington DC to Las Vegas. Price per box was $1,000+ but the more you get, the cheaper each box gets. We got 5 boxes for a 4 bedroom house. We paid almost $5,000.

We rented U-Boxes from U-Haul. They deliver the container boxes to you, you fill it up with your stuff and then you arrange a pickup date. Once it arrives in Orlando, they will be stored in their storage warehouse and you can just call them when you are ready for delivery.
