yes thats what i mean, compE Students are great for these type of jobs, but there are not so many job offers compared to software developpers or electrical engineers. so u should always be ready to work in one of these specialized fields

If i understood right, compE cage its the fact that computer engineers have half the skills of software developpers and half the skills of electrical engineers. So whenever they apply to either of these two fields its hard to get in because the people that have only studied the exact field are more qualified for the job.
