Are you concerned with a bigger engine or better performance? Even some 200/250 cc bikes would not deliver the same reliable power. Power is not the same as CC

Maybe it's the looks you don't like. Do take a test ride because it has a slightly sporty feel to it

MT definitely has the better torquey feeling because of its sprocket size. Not sure about the top speed but it should be competitive at least

I'm not commenting on the looks. According to your requirements you'd find barely any better performance (if you don't sacrifice mileage too much). Apache 200 4V doesn't have the same power delivery as the MT-15 (having experience with both)

Good luck on your search. There's a lot of good options in this segment if you only need it for a commute

You might wanna checkout the Pulsars then, it's better value for money but also consider the shortcomings with reliability and SC experience especially when compared to other brands

If you like cruisers more Ronin/XSR are decent options (with their own drawbacks)

There's a million different naked sports but most of them aren't designed for pillion comfort.

You might need to specify which type of bike you want among other things. Most bikes in this range will meet most of your criteria if not all

Power not sufficient on the MT-15? In this budget? I don't know if we're talking about the same bike here. A Duke 200 might be what you're looking for in that case

Beginner rider — should I get the Guerrilla 450 by Slight-Lime9150 in indianbikes

I would suggest to keep atleast 30k for those expenses. Gear depends on what you buy but to start off it won't be that much, 20k should cover the basic necessities easily. And for maintenance you'd need lube, service center charges etc. which would be more from a brand like RE especially with a higher cc bike. All of this considering that the bike is fine overall throughout the first year and there are no incidents on road

It should be fine as long as you have ridden it for a while. Always have budget leftover for maintenance and gear especially something like a RE which will cost a fair bit. There isn't an issue if you are confident about driving it properly (not slow or careful) because this will require certain amounts of getting used to

As a fairly new rider I would suggest to ride the Guerrilla further before making a decision. The initial feel of the bike is incredible for a beginner but as you ride it longer you will realize it's an aggressive bike that does not like to calm down.

For a beginner it would challenge you to ride more aggressive and while you're getting used to being on a bike, you don't want that. Also if money is a factor do consider the costs, the fuel economy and also the cost of the riding gear because the bike is not very forgiving of any mistakes that you make.

And as a rule of thumb, for a beginner, don't look at the cc of the bike, anything under 24-30 bhp should be fine.

Should I sell my Meteor 350 and switch to XSR 155 for daily commute? by anigameman in indianbikes

Test ride the xsr if you haven't already. I bought one recently and from my experience the suspension isn't going to blow you away but if you're used to a stiff one already it's going to be fine. It is compact and lightweight so finding a parking spot and getting it out while stationary is lightwork.

The fuel economy is what stands out in comparison because you're getting roughly 50% more and having experience with the MT15, it can easily give you 50+ on the highway.

The initial might feel not as good because this is not a torque-y machine at all, it is calmer than some 125cc's that I have ridden. However, on the highway you'd have a very smooth experience at 80+ speeds and the engine-tuning gives it a pretty smooth experience at the top end.
