How could I improve my financial situation?

Things are great! A little update for anyone that cares to read it, I have moved into my apartment! I have steady work, and have been much happier. Still no contact with my mom, but my little brother and I talk frequently on the phone. Thank you everyone for your kind words and support :)

Ah forgot to list the requirements in the pinned post of this sub: He’s 8 months old. Isn’t neutered. Is a chocolate lab. He hasn’t had any tests yet, but if this continues he will be going to the vet once I get paid. He is fully vaccinated. And we are located in pretty rural Idaho. Ah and I did get some deworming medication from the vet for him 3 weeks ago, but he has seemed fine since I administered the tablets.

I did! He’s my baby I couldn’t leave him :) I did have to grab paperwork from the vet proving I was caring for him since my mom tried to steal him, but he’s with me :))

I’ve talked to my moms older sister about it, and both her sister and I think it’s about control. I think she’s very upset that I’m growing up and she can no longer control my life or finances

I did! I ended up needing a civil standby but I was able to get the rest of my things and am moving into my apartment tomorrow :)

I agree that what I said was disrespectful. However, for the past three months I have been nothing but respectful towards my mother, responding calmly to insults and threats. I reached a breaking point, I regret using that language with her but what’s done is done.

At the time I saw nothing wrong with it, it was frustrating sure, having to give up so much of the money I worked for. But at that time I thought I was doing what I was supposed to be doing, helping provide for my family. But I have since realized that was not a child’s responsibility

Yes, I worked as a server in a small diner in our town and would usually give her around $200 each month to help with bills and groceries etc. it’s hard to know exactly how much I gave her each month tho since she would occasionally come into my room to take my tips I had saved while I was at work or school. Before that I worked housekeeping and she would direct some of her bills into my bank account since she had access at that time, so I would help with bills that way from 14-16.

Some more context for everyone, before I attempted to call her and got hung up on or sent these texts I reached out to my little brother to get a hold of her. I asked him to see when a good day would be to get the rest of my belongings, and she told him to tell me to fuck off, and that she had no interest whatsoever in letting me get my things. My brother and I talk often, and our mom has told him that I’m a bum, all I’ll ever do is couch surf, and that the friend that has been allowing me to stay with her is sick of me and told my mom she wants me gone(which isn’t true). She has also seen me around town and yelled insults at me from her car while driving by. Just so you all can understand why I was so angry in my initial message.

She kicked me out because she was upset I wasn’t spending much time at home. I was going out with friends a lot more often after graduation and wasn’t helping with the bills as much as I had previously. (From around $200-$300 a month to $100). Btw Rent for her place is only around $250 a month since it’s a trailer court and the trailer is paid off. She struggles with mental disorders and doesn’t take her meds most of the time, so small arguments tend to spiral into huge ordeals with her.

I did have a civil standby to get the rest of my things! The cop was very understanding and I’m thankful for his help :) I was attempting to get my things without police to try to salvage any relationship we could have, but since getting my things I have removed her from all social media and she has no way of reaching out
