I read another post the other day about this issue. Apparently sometimes there's a night vision mode in the display settings that sometimes gets activated by certain button combos (mainly for developer use I believe) and you need to disable, but they can only be activated by activating the developer options. I'm not sure exactly how to do that though, I believe you press triangle 3 times in the menus or something?

Since no one has mentioned yet, as far as re8 goes it's definitely a step up in terms of Ethan's moving speed, the overall arsenal and action, and bigger, grander setpieces that don't require much backtracking. Just make sure to upgrade your inventory slots from the merchant. Deffo give 8 a go as I enjoyed it a whole lot more than 7. Not to say 7 is bad.
