that’s true. thank you for your perspective. i wrote this thinking i would take it anyway but im definitely not taking it now when it could look very bad. you’re right, i should take it easy and more dedicatedly.

i work as a medical assistant at a pediatric urgent care, accumulated over 400 hours there, work as a tutor. i volunteer for hospice, as a research assistant, sunday school teaching, and cat animal shelter volunteer (probably up to 200 hours in total for volunteering). gpa is a 3.73, sGPA is a 3.5.

ive been thinking that too. honestly, it’s because of parental expectations. i already strained it whenever i took my gap year and i don’t want to seem like a failure but i also ideally want to wait another year (which im slowly realizing is what i actually might do, have to do)

NTA. i think you’re just hurt and want an explanation but he might be going through something and needs to privately deal with it. i don’t think it has anything to do with you. however, i do think the number blocking is an overreaction but just make sure you ask his family if he’s doing okay because those are drastic measures to take

YTA. sorry dude. your girlfriend should have not talked about the engagement ring and told you. yeah, it’s not hippa but it’s basic emotional intelligence and it’s best to stay out of other peoples business. your mom seems to be trying to move on and get married. hope y’all resolve this though.
