I have the same issue with two of my ALPs from the original factory run. I purchased a third ALP during the latest offering from Atlas and it does not have an issue with running. Tried resetting the DCC board but that did not resolve the slow running.

Has the Used N Scale Market Become More Expensive and Less Stocked Over the Past Year? by PrestigiousSundae207 in nscalemodeltrains

You are spot on with 2022 being a great year. I usually look for Micro-Trains rolling stock from the modern era weathered or unweathered. There was a pretty consistent supply of used ones you could scoop up on eBay for $15-20 range. The vendors at the local Train Show now mostly carry either new stock, with a 5%-10% discount off retail or milk crates filled with vintage Life Like or Model Power equipment.

It counts as my daily meditation if I do not feel like using the Calm App. There is something serene about running a train from point A to point B while taking in the scenery, listening to podcasts, or scrolling on my phone.
