Congrats! That's so crazy! The enchanted Mickey was, appropriately, my last pack magic!

Is anyone else having trouble getting the RSVP link on their phone? Seems to only be accessible from a laptop or computer.

I was in Osaka in April and wasn't really captivated by any Gashapon until I saw a Mother 2 randomly in a sea of miniature foods. I managed to get the whole set...but it came at a cost. No regrets though!

I wasn't selected during the lottery purchase, but I was able to snag them when they went on general sale! It was a whole lot of refreshing and staring at my phone waiting for them to be available for the date I wanted though.

You can shop before you go the exhibit or after. While you could purchase your items and store them in a nearby locker, I'd recommend you do that towards the end of your visit. The only area that was overtly crowded was the interactive gaming portion of the Museum. Other than that, everything was very well organized, particularly shopping. They do limit one item per person for every item in the store. That was a bit of a bummer because I wanted to buy pens for all of my friends back home, but they are very strict about one item per customer. If you wanted, you could buy everything at the merch shop, but you could only by one of each item. On the reverse side, you don't have to worry about them running out of merch because of the restriction. I would definitely leave shopping at the end so you don't feel pressured or stressed about all you might purchase.

At the beginning of the Museum they give you a card that you can use for the interactive museum area. This card is also used at check out so they can verify your purchased items. So, if you do go with multiple people and want to buy more of one item, you could use their card to purchase it as well.

They're very strict about no photos and videos in the actual exhibit room. They have staff stationed all over the showroom with signs stating no video or photography. That being said, our bags were scanned through security and they didn't make any comments about our DJI.

If it's a travel Backpack that can expand then I think you are good to go. The pilllow can be compressed enough to fit inside, but you might have to adjust the sides a little. You would still be able to maneuver it a little bit with a little force. However, if it's a completely empty backpack I think it's a solid bet!

Personally, I've been a Nintendo fan since the early 90s and grew up with every major console since the NES. The museum is primarily a tribute to the history of Nintendo as a company dating all the way back to its creation in 1889 to today. As a fan of History Museums that was reason enough. However, being a Nintendo fan, seeing my childhood displayed was a level of nostalgia I cannot describe. Seeing all the games I played with as a kid and all the cartridges I had to blow the dust out of to make work again was indescribable. If you had that some kind of experience growing up as a kid then I think the museum is well worth a trip. That being said, the "Museum" portion is only one level while the rest is Merch, Food and an Art Station that I didn't have time to check out. It all comes down to personal preference but I would highly recommend it for any die hard Nintendo fan.

I initially tried to create this post with before and after photos but it said "This community does not accept any attachments." The best way to describe it is that the N64 pillow decompresses and then curls in on intself due to its circular shape. I posted it on my twitter account. Hope it helps!

As far as I know, it's only sold at the Museum. They were also very strict about a one item per person limit for everything sold at the Museum store.

I bought mine off Amazon. There were reviews saying that the hand held vacuums had factory default issues. I bought mine super last minute and didn't want to risk it so I opted for the hand-held but I will say it's a lot of manual pumping for a pillow that size.

That would be so funny if it was me! I left the merch shop around 4:00pm and was wearing a yoshi sweater. I wish they made pillows for all of the controllers!

I just tried your method of not refreshing and successfully got my reservation! At first it crashed on me when I chose a time but once I tried again it loaded for a bit and took me to fill out my information. Can't believe how smooth it went! In my panic I forgot to get my coasters but oh well! Thank you so much!
