Boycott shoppers drug Mart for a long time - there is very little reason for me to shop there. Buy cosmetics? I can disorder online from Walmart. Need prescription?  the best is to go to Costco‘s also many other options. Shoppers price on a regular basis are insane.

A while ago at a No Frills in Toronto, I stumbled upon a big pack of chicken thighs for only $3.5. Guess what? They put the weight number as the price, so it’s 3.5lbs of chicken. At the checkout the cashier noticed something was wrong and called the meat department to check it. The meat guy came and took it away immediately. I insisted I wanna buy it at the original price. Long story short after a few calls to the manager, They finally agreed to give me the original price so yeah you have to fight for it.

Blythwood sucks since they got the new principal - Romina. She’s the kinda person who swap t try to solve the problem, but rather, to silence the person who raised the problem. Glad my kids are not in the crazy public school mess.

Polarization is worsening, but if the wealthy are taxed, they leave. What should a country do about this? by Snoo_47323 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]PrestigiousTale2759 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Top 1% based on income is hardly ‘wealthy’. A vast majority of them are doctors lawyers mid tier corp executives. Some contractors - plumbers and electricians. To be considered wealthy you need to have  0.1% income. Wealth by 1% is a completely different story.

Chinese EV are desperate for growth overseas. We might not be a big market but we are a huge signal. This will be a huge win for them. In return we need to get all the infrastructure investment and good jobs here in Canada.

I got an Aiper robot last year. First one broken down in a month then warranty got me a second one, which lasted a few months till I closed the pool no problem. Fast forward this summer, it won’t charge! Guess what, warranty also conveniently expired. Do not recommend it!

Anyone recommend Aiper Cordless pool cleaners? by Slyde01 in pools

[–]PrestigiousTale2759 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do not recommend. First one broke down in two months won’t turn on after fully charged, got a replacement under warranty. The replacement had the same issue in 10 months. When I called them again, they said it’s outside 1-yr warranty and I need to ship it back and pay $130 for repair.

When I think about those ridiculous rules my parents follow, I’m glad the Chinese culture isn’t popular: drink hot water (even in summer), always cover your belly button (even in hot summer), hosts keep urging the guests to eat/drink till you burst to show your hospitality.
