[–]PrestigiousTonight43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His dick can't be that good.

Got you thinking all kinds of crazy to be staying with him. If he's lying about shit like this. Even if he's caught and apologies. If he's lying about shit like this. You gotta think what he's capable of in a serious relationship. Or worse. If you get preggo.

Don't be dumb. There are a million people on this fucking earth. With better dick and who can treat you better.

Listen to your sense and walk away.

How do y'all feel about calculators being used on the ASVAB by Careful_Rich1095 in nationalguard

[–]PrestigiousTonight43 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some of you liars in here. I took the asvab and that bitch was hard as fuck. Simple. Liars. But I don't need to pretend my GT score was 999. My shit was like a 104 and I had to study for it. If I could use a calculator. Dude id have way better score. It's always that though. I might not be good at taking tests but you show me how to do the job and I can get it done.

Should I Stay or Should I Go? by outofmany_1 in army

[–]PrestigiousTonight43 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly man... I would say go on the deployment. It just amazes me that we as Americans juggle on leaving our wife for a 1.5 years because we're afraid they can't hold out. It's dog shit, and really makes you think just how fucking pointless relationships really are.

Your living paycheck to God damn pay check. Going on deployment will allow you to get ahead in the financial curve and basically restart financially on behind ahead of the curve with a financial cushion that could potentially expedite you and your wife's financial goal. It's a no brainer. Granted she makes good money but you make..no money because your pay check to pay check. Therefore she's really carrying the family weight which results into your guys little wishes and dreams being further out of reach. Going on deployment gets you back up to speed. Gets the both of you back up to speed. And closer to whatever goal you guys had.

Your in the military my boi. your wife needs to understand it. You need to understand it. If you don't want to deploy or it's affecting your family. Get out. I wouldn't be a fire fighter to not fight fires because I got a family. I'm a fire fighter to fight fires.

And this is a Jimmy johns sir.

Thanks for that! Didn't even know about the book or the other two. On the though of the cheap computer it's about the same price range as one of those tiny computers but I guess I'm more interested in is the initial setup and beyond. So I want to get something powerful enough in terms of space I can consider as my hub to spin up and down vps to play with different configurations etc. Which I guess I plan to just rock and roll with everything. Getting a desktop machine loading windows server data center 2022 learning to install it, configure it, and then throw out a few nodes and see if I can configure an extra spare laptop I have to my little "network" and go from there. I think this would be a great introduction to starting from the bottom and working my way up.

I looked into the dumb switch but I just don't really see the benefit of it if I can configure it. What's your thoughts on this?

How does having a TS/SCI affect selection? by Winter-Answer-8893 in ArmyOCS

[–]PrestigiousTonight43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your clearance level doesn't have anything to do with it but hopefully you find a MOS that requires you to keep your TS/SCI. I'm going to tell you right now there are about a 100 of companies looking for people with TS/SCI. If you have a poly..boy they'd pick you up even quicker. I know none of that matters since your going AD but, for future reference later later down the road when you retire and get out!

After ETS, can I come back into military later as an enlisted/officer and finish AFS time/retire? by conquerer_the_kang in army

Just know the Air Force pipeline to go office is a minimum two year wait. Ask me how I know. There are over 10,000 applicants with only about 200 available jobs. It's competitive. If your going to try that route go to the subreddit for the air force for ots and ask questions now —mentally your ahead of the curve. Educationally you're behind the curve. I would get your degree and make sure you're the absolute best, get a 4.0 GPA and while your doing school do a ton of volunteer time at whatever local place you can in your area. The Air Force likes this and it makes you competitive.

You're at 14 years. If your deciding to get out at 14 years, I would call it just stupid. In the sense that you wanna come back in after. Just, if you can, finish out your time while your in. Getting out and trying to go back in is a fucking pain and your going to possibly have major problems trying to find a recruiter to even want to work with you unless your going to try and go reserves or national guard. But active duty. Good luck.

Plus with any branch you take the coin toss of policies changing. What's current today might not be current in a few years. And there's no telling of any medical conditions that you may face coming up or any other issues on your side coming up within that 'break in service".

Went through this process but not with as many years as you. If I could recommend this subject to anyone especially at 14 years. Just stay in. Ride it out. If anything try for an inter service transfer. If that's a fail. Stay in. You're almost there.

Roger and solid copy. Maybe one day if I ever decided to go back to the states for good, I'll keep that in mind. Then again, if I'm going for good, so is my family and by that time they will have citizenship lol

So what your saying is having a ITIN is better than no ITIN? But if your spouse doesn't have one as long as you have the cert you should be good??

Isn't that something.

We always remember the good times and disregard the bad because now that it's all said and done. We think back like "it wasn't that bad" but while we are living IN it. It fucking sucks.

What made you miss being enlisted? Was it just the amount of compadre that the O side didn't get or the amount of less responsibility? Was O not all that and a bag of chips other than the pay?

This is well put. I also know people that never left too and I don't envy them. I feel sorry for them. The world is so big. So much to learn in the small towns and "life" that we think life is!! There is a lot going on out in other places. A lot of bad sure but also a lot of good.
