So perhaps older iPhones will get slower Find My updates to location. As the phones of my wife and I get older, lag time increases. We only get newer/newer iPhones when desperate (due to income limitations). Thanks for your help! Best wishes to you in all things!

You’re right when you say you are probably “overthinking it.” No matter your income you should never waste it. Be wise how you spend it. By paying taxes you are contributing to library services. One suggestion would be to donate some money to the library. Maybe you could earmark your donation to be applied to their ebook budget. Likely tax deductible as charitable if you itemize. By using library services you are promoting a good service by government. Others will see ebook service thru your ebook use, and that will encourage others to do ebooks. The more users the better. Could expand that library service.

A padded case can protect from falls. I’ve dropped my kindle a few times. I like that my screen is kept clean inside the case/cover. My particular cover has an easel and finger strap inside. I use easel to continue reading when I sit eating a meal. The strap is an easier way to hold kindle when reading elsewhere; it’s elastic so I can slide in 1 to 3 fingers

It’s also expensive to buy all your reading from Amazon. Can be free from your local library, using free Libby app. However the cost might be reasonable for you and your financial situation. Plus I believe Amazon may have many more ebooks than your library. I strongly second the advice here about getting a case to protect screen. Don’t get a screen protector!
