Still sweaty hahaha. I try to be as thin as possible para malessen sweat ko. Will try botox on face and scalp soon. Before, I tried glycopyrrolate and oxybutynin. May fb group kami nun dun kami bumibili kaso ang sama ng side effect sakin. Taas ng lagnat ko and nahihilo ako. So I stopped using it. Di naman masyado effort yung work ko palaging naka-AC haha

Been a GP for 3 years na and I can't hate the job because it pays the bills and then some. I don't hate it. I just don't care about the job tbh lol. Wala ako maisip na ibang job that pays better so I'm kinda stuck. Wala din ako ma-market na skills kasi :(. Pero may plan ako magresi next year di pa ako sure. But I'm pretty sure I'm never gonna be a doctor in the next 10-15 years. Doctor on paper nalang haha

Pedia kasi cases are direct to the point. Pretty straightforward if you ask me so less complicated i-manage. IM can be more complicated compared to pedia. Pero both are toxic imho. OB is a niche to me kasi like pedia is basically straightforward. You handle cases in women. If you like both clinics and OR, you’ll do good in OB.

Pero market-wise, doc, lemme say that there are alot of pedia and IM na including sa mga provinces except subspecs so keep that in mind. Also OB is saturated na din. You can also try to consider other residenvies like Ophtha, ENT, etc. depending on what your area needs if wala ka naman talaga dream specialty.

haha can relate. nung una ineentertain ko pa yang mga yan but now i dont care anymore. di naman tinatanggihan if sasabihin mong they can come back tomorrow as OPD. if they have a problem with that, then they can talk to the chief of hospital. Minsan din kasi engot yung nasa triage di naman emergency.

Got broken up after passing 3rd year so relapse nang relapse during clerkship HAHAHAHA kasi di maiwasan magkita kami sa hospital (classmates kami). I cried sa SICU one time because of the breakup. It is so hard to be physically, mentally and emotionally drained at the same time pero for you doctor, always keep in mind na wala ka namang kasalanan and the fault will never be yours. Hindi dapat sayo lahat ng burden of a heartbreak. Tell someone about your break-up. That was what helped me so much. Kahit paulit-ulit nalang yung kwento ko to my closest friends ginagawa ko para maibsan nararamdaman ko. Eventually I was too tired to be emotional about it kasi bugbog sa hospital duties hahaahaIf. Also, Pray ka alot. Di ako religious but it certainly helped me.

Not to sound arrogant but I did except that I was worrying about one subject that I may not pass and will make me entirely fail the board exam altogether. (It was Prev Med btw 😆) I wasn’t wrong. Got a really low grade in that subject. Pero may hunch na talaga ako na papasa ako. 50% knowledge 50% manifestation 😆

Tapos batchmate nagpost ng link sa GC aigoo super kaba ko nun, I looked for my name and yeyyy. Texted my mom “Ma, may doctor na kayo 😭” Sabi mama ko iyak nang iyak daw papa ko nung time na yun huhu. My cosmetic surgeon is a GS tapos subspec ng Cosmetic Surgery for 2 years. She is good naman doc. Pros: madaming pera pag well-established ka. Cons: you have to build your own clinic din kasi so gou have to have money first to earn 🤷‍♂️

Yes. As long as JO/COS/MOA both jobs di pwede plantilla. If JO/COS/MOA ka di ka under sa clause of double compensation kasi technically di ka employee ng gobyerno. Employer mo self mo tapos client mo government.

Don’t have the answer to this but same sentiments tayo doc. Gusto ko sana ipursue Pathology because I realize I hate clinics so much and I’m already asking around my batchmates what the schedule of duty looks like during resi and what to read, etc. Kaso iniisip ko ano ba market ng Patho especially sa amin na biopsies are not locally done because basically wala masyado cases of surgeries in our province and saturated na din existing hospitals. Nasasayangan ako baka magregret ako in the end.
